Ayo, only 4 years passed, and we got two of the most revolutionary ports in the mean time. The Q2 proves RE4 is the best VR game on the platform, and the remake is the best rendition of the game ever.

The Xbox 360 & PS3 versions aren't based on the PS2 version (you can clearly see that if you compare them side by side), it's based on the Wii version wich has the Gamecube graphics, Seperate Ways campaign & hidden costumes in The Mercenaries mode. As someone who actually played it on X360 i can say it's a decent version version of the game, it controls well and has native 720p wich looks pretty good

The PS2 version is FAR from perfect homie. On a technical level is a big downgrade from the GC version. Digital Foundry has a very nice break down of all the technical differences between them. The only positive thing that the PS2 version has over the GC version is that it has more content. With that said the PS2 version even with all it's technical downgrades, is still a very good game and it's still RE4.

Am I weird for actually liking the ps2 and 2007 pc versions the most? Ps2 because it was the first version I played and 2007 pc for it just being the ps2 on pc without needing emulation. Like I’ve played the game on everything it’s come out on. I still have my wii copy and I own the game digitally on Xbox one. But I always find myself turning on my pc and despite also having the hd version on pc, 2007 is what I boot up.

First-time player here, I bought RE4 on Switch on sale for 10 bucks. I don’t regret it, one of the best games I ever played.

Nice video, but there were a few mistakes. PS3/Xbox 360 versions were based on Gamecube/Wii versions! It had real-time cutscenes, jiggle physics and all the extra wii content. Except motion controls.

I bought this for GameCube when it came out, then the PS2 version, then the Wii. I also played it on PC at my friend’s house a lot but I kinda remember that version being scuffed. I never touched the PS3/360 or PS4/Xbone ports but I’m now playing the VR version and will definitely get the remake on PS5. It’s a great game that still holds up. My favourite version ever is probably the Oculus VR one but the GameCube version is also special to me for nostalgia reasons.
