If made properly TF3 would most likely kill Apex or at least cut a huge portion of money EA is milking from it. EA cant allow that, this is the main reason why TF3 will never be released.

I know everyone wants to blame Titanfall's death on EA but it was also Respawn's decision to make apex instead of Titanfall 3. It was also respawn's decision to release in the fall but they made this decision before EA decided BF1's release date, so the argument can still be made EA had a hand in TF2 release date issues.

i love cs but i just want to add that i would say it solved tac shooters not fps since it is such a huge genre with many sub genres it is a masterpiece for those who love tac shooters but maybe not for those who like more fast paced movement shooters for example titanfall 2

I'll tell you, I remember years ago when classmates would tell me they only buy call of duty for the multiplayer. Some wouldn't even play the campaign. THOSE are the people that I think to blame. I only ever bought call of duty for the campaign.

what's worse on that game awards thing is they tease titanfall a lot, fixing TF2 servers, updated the map (just nessie) and more, all that just for conduit release💀 they're actually insane for that

“You came for the campaign, but stayed for the multiplayer.” Man. Now the campaigns suck. BO 1 and 2, W.A.W, and the O.G Modern Warfare games were amazing and told a story that I still wish I could go back and re-play them all. Sad to think that the series we all grew up playing fell SO hard.

I can tell you why Titanfall 2 died. Its a movement shooter with pathetically slow base movement speed that its entirely built off "Techs" rather than just having the player move fast. If Titanfall 2 ever wanted to survive it shouldve gone fully into being a movement shooter and not the weird in-between state it launched and remains in. Every successful movement shooter has had a base movement speed that felt fast even if "techs" could make you go even faster. Titanfall 2 feels like im playing Black Ops 3 then suddenly becomes quake if i decide to slide hop. Titanfall 2s downfall isnt tragic, it was inevitable. From the very beginning it split its fanbase and created two camps. Now the only players left are dick riders who use all the "techs" in the game without any thought as to maybe those are exactly what killed the game. It plays at 2 vastly different speeds and thats fucking stupid when your game is all about movement. Imagine if Doom Eternal only played fast when you slide hopped (which to be fair you cant do but you have to see my point) instead of just being a fast paced game that forced you to be faster because thats the pace of the game from minute 1.

I feel like Titanfall 3 Legitimately could be a big game today. EA style microtransactions would leave a sour taste in the mouth of people who've asked for the game for years but tbf they could quite easily use the popularity of Apex to promote the game in turn. Idfk, detonate the arc weapon in the middle of an apex map or somethn like the old fornite map changes link back to titanfall 2 and have the game actually contribute to the lore and not just leech of it.

I thought I was just getting old. Although that may have something to do with it as well.

Personally, I think Co-Op games were always in high demand, but it's arguably quite easier to create a PvP game where the players are the content for each other and which require little work from the developer to keep it going. There's also no need for AI systems and other complicated systems when creating the game. I'm all for more Co-Op.

IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN THE NUMBER 1. It's just that the game developers have stripped our beloved games of a thing that once was a COMMON FEATURE, only for PROFIT and EXPLOIT.

Is not dead, has an active playerbase, and because matchmaking is not skill based it finds lobbies really fast for a game with an average of 2k players

Just some feedback going on gut instinct. So far, following this channel, I like the production value and the topics getting covered, but sometimes it still feels like the thesis gets lost halfway through the video while moving from one example to the next. What applies to high school and college essay applies here too. Stronger callbacks to "why is this relevant to the thesis" at the end of each example, or identifying one concrete, consistent trend (for example, everything becoming more xyz, like social, or snappier, whatever) might help the flow of your future videos.
