In good faith considering how humans behaved before the holy books it’s hard to believe someone was that far ahead and created the perfect guide to not face extinction, they might seem harsh but humans when they try to control the nature (which in the holy books the world, nature and all life are seen as a reflection of God) they always get corrupted and ruin it.
