That about sums it up. At my core, I hold those values: self accountability and some level of ethical/moral standards. HOWEVER Conservatives have taken these concepts and warped them so aggressively that those words mean nothing. They're excuses to push solely their political, economic, ethical, religious, and philosophical views. There's no room for societal factors in their view. We were all cut from the same cloth and therefore all have the same resources, experiences, and outcomes. It's a silly, broken logic. So they run around championing the moral high ground from their ivory towers. Anyone who doesn't fall in line with their beliefs are the problem and never them. They step on their own values to maintain control of others.
