Manaus é uma grande cidade, com mais de 2 milhões de habitantes, mas não tem arranha-céus, como em outras capitais brasileiras, tais como Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza, Goiânia, Recife e João Pessoa.
