The other day I made a friend of mine watch a JAJ interview, where he goes from Trump to Biden and back and also when he was on Jimmy Fallon doing his Bob Dylan impressions, instead of showing her an SNL sketch, because SNL imo does not use him too the fullest... yet!

Really enjoyed the JAJ interview! Loved how he described his journey on the show over these past three seasons as securing the start of the show in his first season, and the post-Update in his sophomore year, and with this latest season, running around all over the show as a utility player. His run has been overall strong, especially a prolific past season-and-a-half. I hope he realizes how well-liked he is by fans, and how much he’s been killing it!

Everyone always dumps on the "What's in the Kiln?" sketch. Clearly you've never taken a pottery class because I have and I've met those women.

Maya one of the most beautiful ladies of my generation ;)

Maya was a formative cast member for me growing up. Seeing her back in sketches really drives home her abilities as a performer. While I agree she was underutilized and the writing towards the end fell off, I do think the cold open was strong and the monologue felt like one of the strongest monologues of the last 10 years (and there have been some good ones just this season). I love her Beyonce, but wish the Hot Ones sketch wasn’t so beat for beat with the previous one. I also thought it was interesting (but understandable) that this sketch was put so close to the monologue, which was also very Beyoncé (and Madonna) coded (Beyonces mtv 2014 performance mixed with her Renaissance tour visuals and a Kenan line being a direct quote of Big Freedia’s on Formation). A fun episode with good moments and vibes!

Molly and their mom in bald cap felt very refreshing no just bc it’s an SNL cast members mom getting in on the SNL process but bc it’s something Mollys mom seemed to be genuinely curious about and was game for to make it a joke

If I forsee Andrew is in a sketch I am happy! What a great new find. No mistake there. Great ears and so amusing. I love him!

Dismukes played Biden in the dress rehearsal sketch because Mikey was playing Donald Trump Jr. in the same sketch, which is his more established character.

I saw iconic makeup artist Rick Baker comment on Louie’s post being astonished that he developed that makeup that fast, and that pertains to a gripe I have with this era. Using the best people in the business for a weak or uninspired premise. I’m all for going out, but don’t waste talent of that caliber for “lol what if he was sexting.” Gives me “Mad About You Aliens” vibes.
