The Boat That Cooked
Registrace 28. 05. 2017
A chef and his narrowboat. Combining my two loves of cooking and the water as I explore life and cooking on a narrowboat. I’m in the process of putting together some videos of cooking on my narrowboat but keep getting distracted by steam trains and other events around Yorkshire. I promise they will be up soon along with a tour of my boat

Sorry you didn’t enjoy it thanks for feedback
Wow, that’s a lot of buses…impressive collection of days gone by…👍😉🇮🇲👌
Yeah so many as as you can tell by video lost my way a few times 😂
Excellent shot. Like!!!
Thank you kwvr put on great event as always
Great video! I could spend all day in there! If you’re ever in Ipswich come and visit the transport museum there, I’m sure you’d enjoy it.
Definitely will do and thanks. Love places like this
Nice video, what an incredible place! You don’t have to be n expert to appreciate such beautiful vehicles! What was the original building used for? Was it a Bus, train, goods or tram shed? Great video, nice channel, subbed!
Thanks for the great comments and just subscribed to your channel. It’s an ex foundry and turns out all the leaks from the roof are because it was great and letting steam out but not keeping the water out
@@theboatthatcooked thanks for your kind reply and for the subscription, cheers!
Thought I caught a glimpse of LFS 296F. I drove it on service for Southdown, it was sold and went to Galway, Ireland, I drove it back from Galway for preservation in Sussex. Sold again, and Keighley Museum allowed me to drive it forwards for a few yards and back again for old times sake
I’m glad you got to drive it again. I find the museums run by volunteers really friendly and when you speak to them very engaging. I find the KWVR the same
How many times has the Museum supposedly closed down...?
Wish I knew and could tell you. Hopefully someone can answer this for us
Love the BR 3 wheel tractor and trailer.
Yeah there’s something about them that brings a smile and memories
I just wish they had more actual ex Keighley buses, even tye Lodekka is a York one.
Would be nice to have some local buses from the area especially to renovate and use on events
Shame the Ulsterbus Tiger has gone
Would of been nice to see that
@@theboatthatcooked they're nice buses
thought they got an eviction notice from that site last year or so
No idea about that be shame if they lose the place
They've bought the building from their landlord

The person that walked by on the opposite shore @1:25 had no idea a person from California U.S.A. was watching her as an extra in a You Tube production.
I’ve just taken a look that’s amazing you have seen it. Looked well wrapped up for our lovely British weather and hope you are enjoying your stay. My neighbour Tim took video of his boat getting lifted out for me. His boat goes back in Monday and got another video to put together of another friend’s boat that was lifted out for transport to another part of canal system
Nice to see whats going on at Keighley. Thanks for the update.
Thanks and hopefully will get back soon to give further updates on it
It is thought that the Yew tree in the courtyard was planted by Lady Anne Clifford (1590-1676) in 1659.
Yeah that’s my understanding as well. It looks amazing just stood there in the castle and so nice seeing so many people having a photograph next to it
Wow.
Thank you
You're welcome.
Wonderful job and thank you so very much. I last visited the castle in 1996 when I was temporarily stationed at RAF Menwith Hill. This is, by far, is the best walk through I’ve seen. Again, well done and THANK YOU!
Thank you for your kind words and so glad you enjoyed it
Visited that castle many years ago with school now live near lancaster castle even more awesome
Yeah my fondest memories were visiting here on a school trip. Remember first time visiting as an adult thinking I’m sure it was bigger 😂 like stump cross taverns with stalagmites I asked where’s big cavern and was told stood in it. That’s after bumping my head everywhere first. Something relaxing about wandering around a castle
@@theboatthatcooked this one here in lancaster was a cat jail once they do tours and some parts of the jail are included demdyke one of the pendle witches died in the dungeon aswell apprently

What is a Steampunk weekend please? I have seen a few videos of these.
Forgive me if I get this slightly wrong. It’s basically vintage fashion with a science fiction twist to it with an element of steam power to it. Years ago I did a lot of it with an ex girlfriend. It’s a lot of fun and only limited by your imagination. Everyone is really friendly and the costumes are amazing I’ve even seen people with mini flame throwers (health and safety look away 😂) it’s now alongside Whitby goth weekend which I went to years ago and really enjoyed. Everyone is really friendly and you get talking to a lovely set of people. I was highly tempted to get into again seeing everyone have a lot of fun. Combined with the railway and steam train it made for a real spectacle
Thank you for explaining this to me. I am not ignorant as I was before. It is a great opportunity to dress up and socialise.
Nice video great camera work as usual I am really enjoying your lovely videos and camera work keep your lovely camera work up I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on CZcams bye for now Philip
Thank you so much. I’m still learning and working out cameras. Using mostly my iPhone and go pros but one of them seems to overheat a lot. Having fun making videos and plan to go further afield next year on some different railways
I visited Scotsman at the Bluebell Railway last month and we through the tender corridor to the footplate, was one of the best experiences of my life
I loved visiting flying Scotsman and the volunteers at Keighley and worth valley railway are so knowledgeable and friendly
You know, in the officially well-knowingly obviously famously well-known Rev W Awdry's Railway Series book titled Enterprising Engines, Flying Scotsman himself was basically mentioned to be Gordon the Big blue livery-paintwork carrying the official #4 L N E R class A0 Pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive designed in the town of Doncaster during the official 192Os as a prototype of the well-known L N E R class A1 Pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive designed by Sir Herbert Nigel Gresley himself alongside his own official successor named Arthur Peppercorn himself! Speaking of which, there's actually an official Peppercorn L N E R class A1 Pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive named Tornado that officially got built in the year of precisely 2OO8 respectfully following the other members of the class that officially were sentenced to the scrapyard to get cut up into pieces by the Scrapper's torch not long following nationalization of Great Britain's railway system!
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFULLY MARVELOUSLY BRILLIANTLY IMPRESSIVELY FABULOUSLY GREAT WORK WITH THIS OFFICIAL VIDEO TAKING PLACE ON FLYIN' SCOTSMAN'S OWN OFFICIAL FOOTPLATE FOR SURE!
Thanks for this, it’s great getting pieces of information like this

When I went recently, the NER Long Boiler was housed in this shed in a very untidy condition, with it’s funnel removed and covered in grey tarpaulin. No clue if the NRM plan to move it to another museum or if they’re keeping it to one side during the renovations as there’s no room for it in the great hall. Henry Oakley is also still waiting behind the wall, and I believe it will stay there until the construction ends.
When I went there was a big section closed off for refurbishment so I wonder if it was there. Think due to finish next year
