Its as if the Great I Am becomes the Once Was that is the "That Is Me" Chad talks about. I've always thought this song was about godhood in a direct and indirect way. And the album about achieving it through psychedelics, shadow work, and confronting one's psyche in other ways. Even exploring transhumanism and the merge with songs like prod. I could go on. I love the themes explored on this album. I could be way off but thats my take.

THANK FKN GOD for whoever uploaded this...I have been noticing a fk ton of my fave metal tunes, mainly of the KSE & Parkway Drive variety, that for some strange and fkd up reason, seem to be accompanied with some sort of horrendous, terrible, & downright nauseating background interference and distortion...This is the First Arms of Sorrow version out of several I've checked which seems to be at least mostly free of any noise that doesn't belong...It may be entirely free of the b/s, but I think I may have developed some sort of noise pollution spinoff of ptsd or something, cuz I feel like I can hear it behind every song sometimes....If anybody knows wtf that is or even knows what I'm referring to, please help me get to the bottom of it and rid these precious masterpieces of this ungodly tarnishing once and for all...\m/

I can tell he was strung out on skag, sick of answering to the press, and likely reading nihilistic, existentialist works. He has always been into British lyricists like Morrissey and Robert Smith.
