Multi-tenant buildings present unique acoustical challenges. One source of noise that’s often overlooked is the building’s pipe systems. Sounds of toilets flushing, “water hammer” and rainwater draining off the roof can all lead to dissatisfied, frustrated tenants. Engineers specifying pipe systems in multi-tenant scenarios need to take a proactive approach to the acoustics issues in the piping...

This study that was done in rats trying to exculpate fibergass as a possible human carcinogen was biased. First of all rats are not humans. 2. The life cycle of rats is 12 months.(Watford.gov.uk) Use other animals that live 10 years or more and findings may be different. If you want to really do a good research exposure should be more than 24 try 5-10-30 years of exposure . 24 months is not a long-term exposure. Try 10-20-30 years . Fiberglass structure gets destroyed by high heat, water and acids, etc that change the appearance of fibers because they become destroyed into molecular size glass or nano size material . Looking for fibers using ligth microscopy hoping to find intact fibers ..fails to acknowledge that fiberglass original structure will be altered , broken down into smaller particles ( WA.gov/department of health) so expecting to find the typical fiber inside the cells is naive. No one talks that fiberglass is treated with formaldehyde which OSHA has classified Formaldehyde may cause cancer. (OSHA danger safety Sign)

I worked at worked for a sheet rock manufacture, in sheetrock the mud which goes between to layers of paper , fiberglass is injecting into the mud of the gypsum for fireproofing . I tell you what that fiberglass and dry wall was atomized everywhere in the plant like piles of fine snow . Airborne and everywhere and nobody wore any masks. There is no way someone is going to tell me breathing in small microscopic sharp shards is perfectly fine or safe . I think downs corning and every other manufacturer paid and bought off the scientist , the lawmakers to write the reports that fiberglass is non toxic . So when you die from breathing it for yrs, they cant be held liable because we dont have a leg to stand on in court . If fiberglass makes you skin itch like crazy on the outside , what do u think is does to the lining of your lungs .

How many years did they deny Asbestos was a killer, and how many years did they deny smoking was a killer, this will be the next one. You cannot believe what the manufactrurers tell you, as they have a vested interest, they will come up with the every study they can to counter any argument you put forward, and nearly all the studies will have been funded by the manufacturers.

fibre glass has made me ill VERY ILL 40 years ago i was a GRP laminator for 18 months but although health and safety was strictly enforced ive suffered with glass fibres now saturate my body and the effects are out of this world- believe me my lungs arent the problem its the fibres in my body . i have vast amounts of photographic evidence and developed many techniques to extract it and studies of the effects on my body . I sleep in the glass as its pouring from my body and includes hairs and splinters dirt etc all trapped by the tiny fibres that will pass through the smallest sieve and can only be seen when clumped together like wool. i have many many weird and nasty findings and i have been working on this since i first noticed problems some 1 years now.

We had an issue were my daughters mattress which we were unaware had fiberglass when purchased, Amazon description was misleading, has been coming out. Of course Mattress tag says it has fiver glass, and not to open. We never opened the mattress cover. So she had been complaining of feeling itchyness or ants everytime at bedtime, looking at the sheets we can see the shininess onnit an shards of glass on the black bars on the bed. What are ways that you successfully removed fiberglass. I am in the process of getting in contact with mattress manufacturer, medical check ups and trying to get the mattress removed from the house safely without disturbing more of it into the surroundings. I am concerned of her breathing it in, ingestion of her and everyone in the household.

On the chilled water side of the video..... That is NOT how you create a vapour barrier. Those albos are not sealed. You must either silver tape over the entire amount of loose insulation, or put the vapour barrier back on where you pulled that white insulation from. Also piercing tacks through the fitting and insulation also break the vapour barrier.
