A planetary-scale heat wave in Jupiter's upper atmosphere, sent by the aurora
A panning-view of Jupiter's upper atmospheric temperatures, 1000 kilometers above the cloud tops. Jupiter is shown on top of a visible image for context. In this snapshot, the auroral region appears to have shed a massive, planetary-scale wave of heating towards the equator. The feature is over 130,000 kilometers long, or 10-Earth diameters, and is hundreds of degrees warmer than the background.

9 Hour 55 Min 30 Sec of JUPITER Rotating in Real-Time - With Background Music
zhlédnutí 45KPřed rokem
Jupiter rotates in 9 hours 55minutes and 30 seconds. It's the fastest-rotating planet in the solar system as well as the largest! Larger planets tend to be faster because, during solar system formation, they pulled in more material than the other planets. The material it pulled in was already moving, so by picking up more material it also acquired its momentum, so more material = more speed! Im...
How BIG the Moon used to look in our sky - simulation of "Lunar Retreat"
zhlédnutí 16KPřed rokem
Hey! The Moon is moving away from us NOW at a rate of 3.8cm/year (1.5"/yr). Why is it moving away? The Moon lifts the oceans ( Earth) towards it, but Earth rotates and moves the oceans away from being directly under the Moon. The oceans can then pull the Moon sideways a bit, making it orbit Earth faster. A faster orbit means it better-escapes Earth's gravity, so it drifts away. This 'lunar retr...

    A section of astro physicists trying to establish the theory of bary center means a center of gravity of two celsius bodies like the moon and the earth always rotating around it. If this is true, then the moon is supposed to maintain a fixed distance from the surface of the earth as demonstrated above. But we see a total solar eclipse as well as an Annular eclipse because of the reasons the distance between the moon and the earth varies. When the moon is nearest to the earth we see a total solar eclipse and when the moon remains at farthest we then see annular eclipse. The question does arise as to how the distance of the moon varies when there is a bary center? It means the concept of the bary center is not logically established.

      How does that confuse you? It’s orbiting the barycenter therefore it has a height from the barycenter and also a hight from the closest bit of ground. How can you explain multi star systems barycenters or the one of our sun and Jupiter and Saturn?

    • @harmony2369
      @harmony2369 Před 5 hodinami

      The question of how it varies is the exact same, it’s the same orbital physics but showing the rest of the gravity we usually don’t see

    Beautiful representation of the Barycenter dance :) Does the pattern of the Sun start to repeat itself at some point in time? I mean, the Sun starts its journey around the Barycenter at a fictional point A. While doing all those eccentric orbits, does the Sun ever come back to point A to fall back in the same track where it started from? (provided we stay in the planimetric view, i.e. excluding the Solar System orbit around the center of the Milky Way galaxy, etc.)

      Do you believe that Pangea existed with hundred of millions of years of erosion then ? The other way to think is that : " Earth is Growing. " Never the ocean should have existed, it's not natural. Evolution is purification, this filthy salted water is corrupted and ice is pure. AND, I won't even explain why the water running into the earth is not muddy. I know that you can find why. Check those keywords. Pyrocumulus and ice sheet melting + erosion. Stay wise.
