Downtown Knoxville Tennessee City Drive 4K - Scruffy City Driving Tour
Relax and take a ride as we drive around Knoxville Tennessee. The drive starts near the University of Tennessee / UT (Vols) and travels through the Worlds Fair Park and by the Sunsphere before driving into downtown. We also go over the Tennessee River briefly into South Knoxville then back into downtown before exiting through the Old City.
I've enjoyed Knoxville, especially with its proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I feel like the city is somewhat contrasting, with some really nice areas juxtaposed with some gritty areas, which definitely gives it some character. Nonetheless it is still a great city to visit.

'Knoxville is a city in and the county seat of Knox County, Tennessee, United States. As of the 2020 United States census, Knoxville's population was 190,740, making it the largest city in the East Tennessee Grand Division and the state's third-most-populous city after Nashville and Memphis. It is the principal city of the Knoxville metropolitan area, which had a population of 879,773 in 2020.
First settled in 1786, Knoxville was the first capital of Tennessee. The city struggled with geographic isolation throughout the early 19th century; the arrival of the railroad in 1855 led to an economic boom. Ah, Charlotte. The wannabe Atlanta striving to be the next best suburb. It’s sterile, empty and boring. No amount of half empty office towers will ever fix that.
🥱You’re really grasping at straws here. Charlotte is the 3rd fastest growing city in the Country, and the 2nd largest financial city and center in the country outside of New York, and thus holds vastly more weight than Atlanta, and that’s facts. I noticed a lot of hate from deep down south when we took suntrusts headquarters from Atlanta and brought it here creating the nations 5th largest bank…that must’ve stung, I see y’all still sore about that.
@@MrMinimilsm Umm, being a filing cabinet for Bank of America and being seen as a second rate retail financial center (Charlotte is no global financial hotspot) doesn’t change the fact that the city is sterile, empty and boring. Charlotte has all the charm, vibrancy and culture of a wet blanket. By the way, I think Chicago might want to have a word with you about who’s the next largest financial center in America after NYC….just sayin’. Also, I’m not from Atlanta….or the south.

Beautiful, clean little city! Very walkable, yet hardly anyone walking which is strange though.
It's a nice smaller city. Yeah for some reason it seems like mainly everyone sticks to walking around only on Gay Street (which is found at 17:30 and 31:00)

It was a Saturday afternoon. I was surprised to see traffic that mild in Atlanta. The interstate was backed up though

Tampa is an older city than Miami yet it looks so much cleaner, more modern and upscale. Being from Miami, I wish it could be this nice.
