New Trails on The New Bike. (Concord Trails)
I am back with a new video!!!!
In this video I am riding some of the newly built trails at Concord park in Knoxville, TN. These trails have only been open for a few weeks but already add a lot to an already fun place to ride.
Also this is the first video on my brand new Scott Spark 960. I wanted to move to a shorter travel bike to make longer rides more comfortable and the Spark is the perfect bike. Easy to pedal but still fast and fun downhill. I will make a more bike focused video soon.
Thank you all for watching and I plan on making more videos.

    @7:53 I feel like switchbacks are this bikes absolute biggest downfall. It feels very planted, and it needs a lot of speed to feel playful. I love my enduro, but it’s definitely a VERY specific bike. I was super impressed how well it pedals. Almost no pedal bob. I have had the bike for about a week. I want to flip the chip in the shock to the high setting to see how it feels. I had to get a wolf tooth dropper post lever because the stock one gouged my left thumb. The engagement on the stock rear hub is garbage too, an instant upgrade to a hydra or something else is a necessity IMO. Wow. I didn’t realize how many gripes I had with the bike. I would say they are about the same strength as the shimano with a little more lever pull. Maguras are really strong but you can't use any other rotors than magura ones. I love the tektro brakes they feel perfect for me and just how I want my brakes to be

    I'd say not really, owning a Turbo Kenevo, unless you have plenty of cash and don't much notice. It is just too much and overall provides a similar experience to normal bikes, in that you are literally in the same places, plus being ridiculously heavy. Worth it for old or injured people possibly. You really pay an insane amount for a battery and motor. Yes, it is a lot of fun zooming up hills with hardly any effort but you always know it's a cheat. Mostly I think we all need to justify our purchases (mine was $9500) and also plenty of MTBersd have never ridden a motorbike, so for them, they are getting THAT buzz, at alow level. Everything in this video is the same or better on a 9kg hardtail.

    Do you feel like these have a longer pull to engage the brake than you're used to? Comparing these to similar Shimano brakes these feel like you have to pull significantly further before the brake starts to engage. I thought mine might need a brake bleed but doesn't look like there's any air in the system.

    • @uk2usamtb421
      @uk2usamtb421 Před 3 lety

      They do pull further than shimano which I expected. If you want to make sure you have no air in the brake stand the bike up on its back wheel and bonce it and pull the lever. If there is air in the system it will rise to the top and the lever will pull to the bar.

      @@uk2usamtb421 Do your brake levers pull this much? I can't seem to adjust these so that they engage sooner. The pull feels really long and is quite annoying: czcams.com/video/lNHiYm2FkI0/video.html

      @uk2usamtb421 Před 3 lety

      @@porkpie5477 they pull a little less than that. You can try to bleed them, check the pad wear or advance the pads by taking them out a slowly pulling the brake to allow the pistons to com further out. That should help make the contact sooner

    • @stownplayer
      @stownplayer Před 2 lety

      Same for me. Mine feel like I can pull half of an inch to an inch before I get significant braking. Compared to my Shimano brakes on my hardtail which are almost immediate engagement. I'm going to have the shop look to adjust and check them out. Something feels off and they are dangerous for me cause i'm coming from the shimano so instead of braking when I need it I loose some response time.

      @@stownplayer I ended up doing a full brake bleed and that helped a little bit but honestly not that much. I have a bike with shimano brakes as well and they engage way sooner which I much prefer. May swap over eventually.

      Those two bikes are very different and from watching have very different purposes but both look fun. It sounded like your friend was on the Levo SL which does require alot more input to make go fast I feel he would have alot more fun the the normal Levo. I would be curious what the bike you rode was limited to and if it has a throttle.
