Regardless of what he says, this was not an act. The kid's legitimately gone off the rails. I'm an addict myself, & we can smell our own. He's admitted that he didn't reqlly train hard, & was drinking like every day leading up to this fight. I think he used the psychology angle as an excuse/cop-out, & when the line got 5 or 6 to 1 in favor of Haney, it was just convenient timing & Ryan was confident enough to bet 2 mil on himself. Haney doesn’t do well against south-paws w/a reach/size advantage, & Ryan was able to exploit that hole in Haney's game. In all honestly don't think this win is good for Ryan overall. I think the money, fame, & notoriety he'll get resulting from this win will ultimately lead him to fall deeper into a spiral of drugz & alcoh0l addiction. I like Ryan, so i hate to say it, but this is probably the pinnacle of his potential w/this win, & we're most-likely going to see a sharp decline in regards to his skill, hunger & desire over the next few years, as well as an inability to hang w/the best guys in the world. This win was a result of muscle memory, talent, & years of conditioning, & it was just enough to get the W *this time,* but i believe that this same Ryan against Tank, or Lopez, or any of the top guys in their respective divisions would run through him if he came in the same shape as he did here.
