Winter March (for Liberty) [Electronic Version]
Transcribed an old guitar solo I wrote for orchestra years ago and now for synths, I themed it with some Helldivers footage (plus a Broforce bronus clip). The video is slightly tweaked from the piano version to preserve the rhythm better and the synths probably fit the mood of the footage better anyways.

Lacquerhead on a Lacquered Bass (Riff + Solo)

A quick vid as a response to requests for Lacquerhead by Primus. I didn't huff any lacquer or pop any pills like the suggestions because I am old and would die. This bass is like playing 4 pieces of rebar and so I did the solo twice.

Put one of my old piano pieces to a scene from the movie "Legend" by Ridley Scott. I had a music video written out for it but I don't have to resources to make it but this scene matches the feel and tone pretty closely. Music is "Adage for a Courtesan of Erebus" by me Movie is "Legend" (1985)

I was able to sit and talk with Mr. Butkus several years ago. What a class act. He told me the story of intercepting the Tarkenton pass and running over the QB instead of going into the endzone. He said Tarkenton asked him after the game "Why didn't you just score?". Mr. Butkus replied "Aahh, I just wanted to kick your ass." As terrifying a presence on the field as he was, he was also one of the nicest people I've ever had the privilege to meet. His signed jersey hangs over my desk. I wanted to be like him when I played, but I was about 6 inches and 80 pounds short. Everybody's gotta have a dream.
That's way cool. I've heard that off the field he was very much a gentleman, which speaks even more to his discipline and commitment to his mindset on the field. And the aspiration to that level of excellence is the whole reason we have legends, I think. Even if we don't achieve it in the exact same fashion. That's a great quote though too haha. Definitely the guy I'd want playing on my side of the line.

Almost 35 years later… I’ll never forget this song. It is the theme song of my childhood. Abused and neglected refugee immigrant child, trying to fit in and live up to everyone’s expectations… 😢 The upbeat part is that I grew up alive, well and healthy and now have children of my own who won’t go through the heartbreak and ache that I endured. I will make sure of that.❤

Sadly manuls are not immune to toxoplasmosis, unlike most cats, and so can't live in most lower climates. Maybe one day they will solve this though and come down from the mountain!
