Oh, it was biased. Curtis used my techniques, but only in a dynamic video can you show what is underneath, Curtis is very odd to be using my technique as it's not a scientific technique whatsoever, I like it, great in a dynamic youtube video where you can show the tracing and what is below, but him leaving a fat line on top gives the illusion whatever's below matches, like the eye shape, when I traced it- so far from a match to the painting, the eyes of the much older man in this locket are droopy universally, whereas Joseph had a totally different shape in the painting and the death mask. Joseph Smith was said to have bushy eyebrows, this man has none, the man in my CDV's eyebrows match hair angle, scars on the left eyebrow, and the right eyebrow, Joseph Smith had high cheekbones, this man has flat cheekbones, David Roger's painting shows Joseph Smith had high cheekbones in 1842, man in my CDV has very high cheekbones matching the dibble death mask. In 1910 Joseph Smith III criticized a painting of his Father that had "curly hair", for his father "did not have curly hair!" This man in this locket has super tight curly hair, NEVER EVER seen in Maudsley's artwork (of Joseph or Hyrum). Yet... this man with a small nose (Joseph Smith obvi had a large protruding nose), flat chin (Joseph Smith had a rounded chin- which Curtis changed in his colorized version of this photograph), and the ear shape, the inner cartilage is super unique in this man, whereas compared to artwork from life of the Prophet the ear shape incredibly matches my CDV, and the lighting in this locket metal image is too "good" it was not until 1849 that skylights were used and the techniques still used today, to create good, even lighting didn't exist in 1844, the two earliest daguerreotypes believed to be by the artist who JS III said took his Father's daguerreotypes of Phoebe and Wilford Woodruff shows harsh side lighting, short uneven background (seen in my CDV copy of a daguerreotype and clearly seen in Emma's CDV also a copy of her 1845 daguerreotype believed to have been done by Lucian Foster shows that SAME short uneven background, too unique of a detail), and I've had amazing spiritual experiences that told me my CDV is of the Prophet. Benjamin Winchester said the popular pictures in cabinets (aka cabinet cards) did NOT show Joseph Smith's retreating forehead, this was an 1889 quote... Carter began selling photographs on cabinet cards, of the forward facing painting in 1885, and it was STILL popular four years later, could NOT be a dig at Maudsley's art as he traced Joseph's shadow, but a foreard facing painting NOT showing a "retreating forehead" or the peculiar shape of his head... means hairline! Rogers clearly did NOT accurate paint Joseph Smith's hairline, which makes sense when you compare Maudsley's June 1842 paintings of Joseph Smith to this September 1842 painting... Maudsley showed Joseph already had a receding hairline back then, he just grew his hair long to brush forward and flip up, FAR CRY from the thick bouffant hair in the recently acquired Roger's painting, and the emotional bias from men against my CDV solely for the hair only shows their own insecurities deflected onto an idolized man with fake bouffant hair we KNOW he did NOT have in 1842, 43 or 44, and Lucian Foster did NOT come go Nauvoo until 1844, so two more years to lose more hair, likely a summer haircut and he ditched the brush forward look. Also Levi Hancock noted he had permanent hairloss from the 1832 mobbing, this Locket image shows no evidence of that, my CDV image shows that unique detail on the left side of his head, which has a huge bald area to the left side of his head, likely from it being pulled out, and or burned. Not to mention Carter's photographs of the Dibble Death mask show much less hair than seen in this locket man (likely relative of Dan Larsen g-g-Gradma Bertha Madison, who has that same face as this man in this post 1849 daguerreotype), see here: www.theprophetsscars.com/retreatingforehead Last, but not least, the image of the man in the locket appears considerably shorter than the man in my CDV and has straight shorter width shoulders; ratio of head length to shoulder width can often show evidence of a gentleman’s height. I have compared my CDV to 6 ft. 2in. tall Arnold S. And the traps are shaped nearly exactly the same, same width to height of head ratio, so the man in my CDV is likely 6ft. 2inches tall, whereas the Bertha relative found in the Locket is a short, less muscular, 50 year old man (who looks like 50 year old Brigham Young…). William B McCarl is the one who started the theory of the painting being based on the daguerreotype, simply by assuming Joseph Smith III knew his father wore his wedding ring on his left hand, so if you painted an inverted perspective image, of course the ring would end up on the right hand, but it's too simplistic. In this video I find that Maudsley's painting of Joseph for the Nauvoo Map shows Joseph wearing the wedding ring... on his right, not left hand, so McCarl was wrong, and in 1910 Joseph Smith III was going blind and nearing 80. I've analyzed Kim's photo to images of the David Roger's painting where glare is present (hard to obtain as it's covered in high gloss) and found deep vertical striations from the canvas beneath, very... evident in Kim's photo, unique nuances actually match extremely well and when I analyzed it. I am an artist who draws faces and it's something I would do for hours since I was about 13 years old. Roger's wasn't that good of an artist, not the worst, but he painted the nostrils so narrow, oddly matching what happened to man's nostrils in my CDV (lighting from the side and below made his nostrils LOOK smaller), the nose is way too narrow and long compared to the death mask, mouth more narrow and the hair... not like ANY of Maudsley' work, or Bathsheba Smith's or other's from life, never did he seem to have this huge bouffant hairstyle, which we've come to know as Joseph's hair, to me it doesn't match the dimensions of a human face. Joseph Smith III published an advertisement in his paper, the Saint's Herald, saying his father was 36 when the painting was completed. Joseph Smith died at age 38, in 1844, so in 1842 in September is when David Roger's painted him, per his own journals, and this was reiterated in 1910, but he said maybe 1843 that time, then mentions the guy who took the daguerreotype, of the name Lucian Foster, could not have done the daguerreotype until 1844, a couple of years after the painting was done (see my website, I have a timeline on www.theprophetsscars.com, either way JS III said 3 times his father' forward facing painting was done before he died, not after. The Marshall copy's eyes perfectly match Carter's photograph of the painting. Thank you, it is clear the Library of Congress believes their copy is a photo of a painting. The things that are off just don't make sense being a result of camera distortion, but enjoy reading everyone's opinions!

The Iowa Historical Societie’s duplicate oil painting has “more detail” than the original oil painting, such as the left orbital bone being dropped, which IS seen in the skull, even Kim believes is Joseph’s, and in the death mask, noted by Doctor Van de Graff and Niles Herrod in 1995, and noted by Doctor Maciej Henneberg and Doctor Teghan Lucas in 2023; this is an injury seen in my Carte de Visite, it is a unique identifying feature, seen in the victor Kress copy of the 1842 oil painting, Joseph Smith III STARTS his 1910 letter talking about, asking Mr. Ramsey to go to Iowa and check THAT out, he says it’s a better likeness, then references the authentic painting (maybe painted in 1843 he says)…and it is very different, more different than Kim’s image, from the original oil painting, it (Kress’s duplicate oil painting) is a better match than Kim’s photo copy, to the death mask, and then he says the Daguerreotype taken in 1843 or therabouts, he says he isn’t sure on the date, but in 1879 he was healthier and states his Dad was 36 when the foreword facing painting was done, cannot be 1843, so 1841-42, the photo by Lucian Foster had to of been 1844, it was used to “help sustain the characteristic likeness” of his father in the painting, well- probably the duplicate, and the many others the CofC has… the duplicate oil painting was based on two things, the daguerreotype and the 1842 Roger’s painting. The archivist with the Community of Christ told me there are more “duplicates” than she can count… Maybe Kim Marshall’s image was from another duplicate, but… why does it show the exact striations seen in the canvas of the 1842 painting show up in Kim’s? Watch the whole video. Please… The fact that Kim’s image too has the nose exactly too long, the mouth too narrow, the eyes too close, too level (missing the step deformity) the hair too “perfect” (Foster showed up mere months of the martyrdom and Maudsley had been painting Joseph with worsening hair-loss with each picture/painting, worse than this painting in 1842; also missing in Kim’s image), and missing major injuries even Victor Kress got more right?

I have not heard of him, thanks for sharing this info. I believe we all follow what the Spirit tells us to do, for me it's not been taking this any further, I'm not upset by the anti- Mormon video and it helped my testimony as I knew they were simply wrong is assuming the information had to have all been included in "The Book of Abraham", it was not all put in the scriptures, and many have accused me of "just" reading BYU scholars books on the subject, when I have read none, other than short bits of Kerry Muhlestein, but my interest is not as great as others to go further. I wanted this to be a raw reaction video to seeing it again almost ten years later.

Definitely, Levi Hancock said Joseph Smith him years after the event, where they pulled his hair out; they had their hands in his hair, this was Joseph's own words, of that day; a tall, muscular man, fighting being taken away, with hands in his hair, it got yanked out, AND afterwards he was tarred and feathered, which for sure would have caused possible burns and likely acted like hard wax and pulled hair out that way. Months later he said chunks of hair were coming out when he left for Missouri the summer AFTER the mobbing and he was "poisoned" likely food poisoning.

I agree, it took me some time to consider and be open to it being him, but the death mask shows simply that it is. I am looking for more evidence everyday and am very hopeful it can be proven. I address this, that is based on the idea that the papyrus was torn the whole time, it wasn't, there is evidence of that, evidence the fragment was in a picture frame in the home of the Smith Family, in 1842, already separate from the scrolls, and evidence there were separate SCROLLS that were sold to the Chicago Museum, and evidence the fragments were basically worthless and thus mishandled for 100 years ish, thus, more writing...

The Daniel Larsen Locket image? I think the life painting shows his nose really was much larger than Joseph's and Joseph's nose is much larger than the man in the locket (Joseph had his mother's nose, tip it higher up). It does seem so many are losing hope, faith over things someone told them, or a website that they found. I have had many friends leave, telling me to never research all of this, but the Spirit told me to not be afraid, and thankfully I found faith promoting researchers, like Meg Stout. I had quite a following, via Instagram, a couple of years ago, and had a lot of support- back then, they dropped like flies when I announced the "paper" would not be published in 2020 (and I was super duper disappointed (busy academics burdened with the lockdown)). I know that I'm not great at entertaining and my demographic is mostly men over the age of 60. Our paper is still coming along, I keep asking them if they are serious about it, and they claim that they are, despite coming up on four years of waiting. People likely got tired of my saying a paper was coming soon, as I kept being told it was, I have never known how long this would take... took four years for all of my questions to be answered, so with some names behind me soon, I'll probably get more of a following then?

I'm excited about Shannon Tracy coming out in the open and world again... read his book or look at just his mask copy, he interviewed with mormon book... channel- he shows his masks that professionals pencil traced and the eyes are father apart, than the locket madison photo, like my CDV. Agreed- area between the upper lip to the nose and the nasal labial folds, in locket image is protruded for sure, that's one big thing that is similar to Ben Stiller...

Sorry, I was sure that I had replied. I don't know about remote viewing, the Lord can inspire us to have visions in the nighttime, or daytime, and they are personal and real, but even then someone would need to be a savant artist to wake up and paint someone they've briefly seen in a vision or in person... I could of course be sitting at a desk staring at my picture, and if he- Joseph Smith was standing right in front of me suddenly, glowing and full of light, I would be able to tell they looked a lot or the same, right? but drawing someone you saw and they walked away, or just had a vision of, would be harder, then add in the fact that Mary didn't recognize the Lord when he left his mortal tabernacle and had in immortal one, if he looked somewhat different as a resurrected being, Joseph would too... so if a savant had a vision of Joseph- right now, post death, it would be different OR if he saw Joseph back in 1844... but this is his photograph that I have, and I know it, and it's been found for a reason, and forensic anthropologists will be publishing a paper, once done! I actually had a dream, in 2005, that I met Joseph Smith, it was so real, but I wasn't too concerned what his face looked like apparently, as I just grabbed a journal to write it down, rather than an art pad.

Hyrum Smith nose is too different, from this man’s; the tip was lower, like Little Lucy, see her on the very bottom of my website, the prophet’s scars dot com, where I show family members, she is older but her cartilage in her nose lays so low her nostrils is partly hidden, Hyrum’s nose was much larger than this man’s and his nostrils would have been hidden more. I agree with the eyes being smaller, but his eyes were like his mother’s, very hollow and deep set in the socket, not hooded, like this man’s.

I just read their report, it's in their footnotes, that the judgement of the descendants, but they didn't have the FBI artist analyze his (Mads Madison's) image, and I am looking for that image right now, as it's not at all on Family Search or the family website that has thousands of images of descendants, and Mads Madison is not in there? Joseph gave most of his wives GOLD watches, Eliza R. Snow had one, it was his thing he liked to gift the most...

I seriously doubt that... The thickness is seen in the mask and in the artwork. Scroll down my website for theprophetsscars to the eyebrows and compare my CDV the artwork and mask, his eyebrows are shaped the same. Joseph's scars are seen in the artwork correspond to the man in my CDV, a furrow or expression line isn't hard evidence, or unique, but injuries are...

Nope, those eyebrows will not constitute bushy or “thick”, you need to look at the dibble death mask close at high resolution, this image being so clear, this is more like Hyrum’s thin eyebrows than Joseph’s. Paintings would indicate super light brows, like of Hyrum, always painted with eyebrows like this guy, my CDV shows a thinner left brow that comes upward, and thicker right eyebrow that you can see VERY well on the death mask, it’s too unique and matches the artwork by Rogers. I don’t see a frown in the eyebrow. I see a scar coming downward in my Carte de visite, matching a scar seen on the duplicate oil painting, that was commissioned by Joseph Smith III, so for sure that one is post mortem and is influenced by the daguerreotype, likely oxidized like Emma’s and already copied…
