The words civilised and cultured, have been banished to the pages of a dictionary nowadays ! What a pity!❤
Did you notice how Fred sat down at the piano. Smooth in every move he ever made.
I love these movies.
This is pretty much a perfect scene. Tight dialogue and not a wasted movement by Fred. Every step has purpose…nothing is wasted.
This movie is SWINGTIME. It has a great score and is one of Fred and Ginger's best. WATCH IT.
It really doesn't get any better than that... a beautiful song beautifully sung by Fred to gorgeous Ginger... romance is out there if you look hard enough 👉☺️
❤ 😊
Happy Heavenly 125th Birthday Fred Astaire May 10 1899 - June 22 1987
Fred Astaire was just a shy, unassuming guy who turned into a genius when performing.
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sweet!!
A LEGENDARY MOMENT IN MUSIC HISTORY.
Que delicadeza. Esses tempos não voltam jamais.
By Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields
Beautiful ❤
classic among many classics
Great dancer ,So,so singer.
He sang beautifully. Which is why you're here.
Going to start calling you Lucky. 🍀😉🫴
Cette chanson je l'adore et chante par Fred attire c'est très émouvant et nostalgique. J'adore❤❤❤❤❤
This is a sick version parody of a fake old film that never existed. The music really was created partly in the 1960s.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love the way Ginger looks at 0:57
It brings a tear to my eye, just wonderful, and a wonderful era.
Ginger was a knockout.
I love this song so much and it always makes me cry.
He’s an absolute treasure ♥️
I was married to Fred. 'I'll teach you to dance' he said. Then I woke up..... 😊
that was beautiful and hilarious. not a word spoken to convey she didn't finish her hair
Beautiful
I had to look up this song after reading in Ginger Roger’s biography about the work that went into it! The “soap” in her hair was quite a problem, the studio lights melted the soap making it run down her dress no matter what brand they tried, next they tried shaving cream, than egg whites but the heat from the studio lights started cooking them and they still ran! Ginger suggested whipped cream and they piled it on top of all the previous layers!😂 Thankfully it worked!
"Can't sing, can't act, but can dance a little. . ."

Some day, when I'm awfully low / When the world is cold / I will feel a glow just thinking of you / And the way you look tonight / Yes, you're lovely, with your smile so warm / And your cheeks so soft / There is nothing for me but to love you / And the way you look tonight.
It’s always eerie watching these pre-war films. I wonder if any of these actors had any idea what atrocities were about to occur in the world in just a few short years. Japan invaded China one year after this film and inflicted some of the worst atrocities ever seen in the history of Asia. Crazy stuff.
Rather, I think the intention of these films was precisely to make people forget, for an hour or an hour and a half, the atrocities of war. That´s not bad, really.
Great song and she’s a belter. 😎💔💋💋💋💋💋
Of all the versions I've heard thus far, this is my favorite. I like Fred's style of singing. His dancing overshadowed his voice which, in my view, was underrated.
I once read somewhere that George Gershwin really loved Fred Astaire's singing, too, which is a pretty solid endorsement.
I'll say.@@ParkerAllen2
Why is it that we have nothing that comes anywhere close to this today?
which one came because of ross and rachel from the show f.r.i.e.n.d.s? season 9 ross says this song would be playing when he asked for rachel's hand ❤️
A great song is timeless. By Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields, 1936. Academy award 1936. Dorothy said that when Jerome first played her the melody she cried.
I love Fred Astaire's original version best.
BEAUTIFUL❤❤❤
Wowowowowo.... I thought the original was by Frank Sinatra. I'm in love with this version. A legend.
A classy time in movies that helped people escape their hardships for a brief time and get through the Great Depression!
