I once had like a 16 year old ref who obviously was just doing a job over the school holidays and they scored an offside goal and he didn’t know we had offsides in our age group and he asked another ref and he admitted it was off but still called a goal😂

It’s very American. In England I ref school football and I really wouldn’t stand for this. Sport at that age is soo much more than just sport and it’s about being competitive but always respectful and courteous in victory and defeat. I card for swearing and would never allow parents to shout like this.

Props to that kid who made the penalty kick by simply "passing" the ball into the corner of the net. One of our coaches(when we were probably like middle school age) told us the exact same thing all the time, and _nobody_ would listen to him. It was so frustrating, especially one time when we were one game away from the state championship and it went to penalty kicks(3 rounds), and had to just sit there in the center circle, watching all of my teammates kick balls over the goal, to the right of the goal, etc. It was driving me crazy. I tried everything to get them to listen, telling them how much of a complete waste it was to _not even put the ball on the goal,_ but the other 4 guys taking the shots were better than me, so obviously they know better. We ended up losing 2-1 in PKs in the third round. Three of the four didnt even put the ball on the net. I made all three of mine. I had more goals than the rest of my team put together(the first two rounds were 1-1.) Completely just threw the game away. And worst of all, the team that beat us and played in the championship, lost to a team we smoked every time we played them, and had already beat them twice that season. Also, fun fact: We all went to this sort of "elite"(or at the very least expensive) soccer camp, and every year they have skills competitions, and two years in a row i won the penalty kick competition, just passing the ball into one corner of the goal(i was very proud of myself because i won a bunch of nike swag(shirts, shorts, soccer socks, a ball, and a $100 gift card.)) Lol.

That keeper needs to stop whining and play. If the ref didn’t call that handball he would’ve had two insane goals scored on him. And if you look at the ball during the collision it’s still moving and the ball needs to be stationary during a free kick so he just did a whole run up, missed the ball and kicked another kid for what? To flop and try to get the other kid a card?

One team is not very good. And why do they have a 15 yr old ref?
