Just a little bit of practice. Heat and stretching mostly. Prestretching the film helps as it will then take the shape of the item you’re covering. As you place the prestretched film on a mirror casing (for example) then heat it, the film will form around that object.

Hi Ben, Do you already have the pull out trays and want to change the face colour? Or do you not have the trays and want to install some? If the first, then the fascia’s can be clipped off and replaced with another coloured fascia. If the second and you want to install these trays like me, yes it is easy enough. I bought this as a stop gap until I bought a “noname” VW radio. This unit only cost me £90! And I love it. So much so I’m going to buy another the same, but with more memory and cpus. It’s actually an excellent unit in my opinion 😄 Thanks for tuning in 👍👍

Thank you! Basically you’ll need to mask up the centres with a good painters tape that allows you to create curves. That’ll allow you to make the circle mask. Then just mask up the centre of that circle with normal tape. Then the little exposed reflector lines, same again, a good flexible painters tape. Paint? A black laquer with several coats to give the deep gloss. Finally buff, polish and ceramic coat.

Black laquer will already have a gloss to it. Basically it’s like the light tinting spray you can buy, which has a gloss finish. Build up the costs to get the finish you need. I went with around 5-6
