Well unfortunately the acolytes season 2 has been canceled and the haters are gloating,that they succeeded.

The creepy dude in the cave was Plagueis. He's the eventual master of Palpatine (who won't be born for about 50 years). This is the first time we've seen him on screen, and we've only gotten vague references to him in Canon (though he has a popular book in the Extended Universe). So this was an exciting tease for a S2! (I'm not giving up hope on that. I really loved this show and I need more!!)

Most of them Leaning right politically. And have issues with diversity not realizing in the same vein they were able to identify with the Jedi and the Original Series because they look like them now you have a lot of young people of color who can also visualize themselves As a Jedi because they see representation In the acolyte And that's what I believe The vast majority of haters Have an issue with .So they never gave it a chance and it was a self-fulfilling prophecy, In their eyes. What pisses me off most about these people is not their bigotry, but the fact that they think they speak for everybody ,you know that old adage to each his or her own or one person's pie is another person's poison or as we say different Strokes for different folks . In other words whether you'd like it or not it's totally subjective And by Pure Chance only one of the Reaction channels I watch Had issues with the show and they gave Again constructive criticism As opposed to hate but everybody else like you enjoyed it Two varying degrees Which makes argument that everybody hated it absurd .And that's the Mantra they've been preaching.So I don't know if Disney wants to go through the headache of a season two because this got better viewership and ratings than Andor and it's clearly getting a second season,but it was green lighted for a second season before it even premiered Master Sol was clearly a flaw Jedi, Incredibly powerful, but he gave into his emotions when it came to wanting a Padawan specifically Blinded him to reason Because I would think that he should have realized that killing their mother was a tragic mistake that's set off a Cascade of Negative shall we say actions and reactions.That eventually led to his own demise.Osha stated she left the Jedi because she could not control her negative emotions and she let them take over when she gave into the dark side. And yeah the Jedi may have good intentions but that all's saying goes the road to hell Is paved with good intentions and shall we twist it to say The path to the dark side is Paved with good intentions,because most people do evil don't think what they're doing is evil their Machiavellian at best.By justifying the evil that they do for the greater good or they simply don't see themselves as evil or their actions In fact they see it as beneficial and Good relative from their perspective. I'm sure of part of May's decision was Based on saving But her killing Master Soul was purely an act of Revenge and hate just like Anakin killing all the sand people or Decapitating Dooku.

With everything that happened in this episode the ending was just so sad, hopefully there can be some resolution in future series. I really enjoyed this show a lot and I'm glad you did too. Great reaction Joy :)

It's not going to be continued; people are falsely reporting it as canceled, but it was never planned to be open-ended, despite all the teases and cliffhangers. I will hold out hope that some of the characters and plot threads might crossover to another series set at the tail end of The High Republic. We'll see. 😊 For now, let's get excited for SKELETON CREW which starts dropping December 3rd.

4:35 This is Plagueis-Palpatine’s master. How old is he? Well, about 15... He could be a Sith but not a master. The Sith should currently be Tenebrous, or maybe even an earlier Sith. (They did not know even when this series was supposed to happend and I'm serious: An example of this is the opening text that briefly states: "100 years before Revenge of the Sith." It was promoted as being set 100 years before The Phantom Menace. It would have made sense if it said 100 BBY-100 years before A New Hope.) Brilliant show that first undermines him and his discovery of creating life-because now random witches are doing it and have been doing it before him. (Plus, Plagueis discovered this knowledge but couldn’t actually do it.) Now, this abomination will learn how to create life instead of discovering it on his own. And I see this as a desperate attempt to bait viewers because he adds nothing to the story-just a tease for season 2. (I highly recommend reading the books about this character because he’s iconic, and his story is excellent. For many fans, it’s the best one.) The entire finale is a disaster. Osha suddenly becomes a sociopath and kills her master for no reason. There was no need for her to react like that, and no normal person would. Then she doesn’t even process what she’s done; instead, she hugs Mae. They don’t even mention Master Sol, who was like a father to them. That scene made me hate both of them. I don’t want to see them again. Sol is also a genius-instead of explaining things, he lets his apprentice walk down the path of darkness and suffering. He failed, not when he accidentally killed their mother, but in that moment. And Vernestra, another genius-a character from the books. In the books, she’s an empathetic altruist who loves the Jedi Order. Here, she hides the truth about Qimir and frames Sol, covering up a dark Jedi by claiming Sol is the dark Jedi. She does it for her own gain? But what if Qimir repeats what he’s done? The entire Vernestra plotline is stupid and ruins her character from the books. And believe me I can continue with everything but that's not my point. "I do not know what I hate more, cowardice or incompetence."-Valkorion. I love this quote because it perfectly fits what they’re showing. When it comes to Acolyte, I was strongly against a season 2 and well it was cancelated because fans didn't even want to watch it. The only interesting character was Qimir, but the more you analyze him, the shallower his mystery becomes. Qimir talks about a vision of freedom, but his actions contradict that, and this problem would be visible and significant in season 2. And I'm just talking about Qimir - the rest of the characters are a total failure. I believe retreating to a safe, familiar era is a catastrophic mistake. As I quoted-cowardice. Fans don’t know what they want until they see it; Mandalorian is a perfect example. It was a massive risk, probably the biggest risk they’ve taken, and it was a huge success. Fans didn’t know they would love it because they didn’t know Din and Grogu-it was something new. The truth is that Star Wars needs to take risks and experiment, to expand into new eras and new stories. Let Acolyte be a lesson in how not to tell a story, not an excuse to run away without learning anything.

Ah, House of the Dragon in a single episode format! So many people act with the best of intentions but misunderstandings cause tragedy. To be fair Torbin's first mission is to like take plant samples! If I remember correctly, Mae actually misquotes the sacrifice line. I think the Mother says that all must sacrifice or something, one needs to go back to episode 3 and rewatch it to hear the correct line! Back in episode 3, it seemed like Indara was the harsh one, driving the conflict, but in the end, her choices would have avoided this whole thing! Also what a shit position to be in. Kill a bunch of witches to free your friend and colleague or kill him. Very hyped for your finale reaction!

Ya, I feel like this is such a weird length because you could trim it down and turn it into a movie! Or they could have fleshed it out more, gave us more of jecki and Yord, etc. It just seems like a weird length. This was essentially a bridge episode, getting everyone where they need to be for the finale and its necessary, and a nice break from the intensity of last episode, but also it feels weird when we have so little time. Anyways, probably one of the more forgettable episodes of Acolyte, not that it was bad, but it just doesn't stand out in my opinion. AND I STILL MISS JECKI! That said, its kinda queerbaity consider it didn't go far, but we did a bit of a tease about feelings about Osha and Jecki but it's also then directly paralleled with Osha's relationship with Sol, which is not romantic. Star Wars show that isn't Andor, be queer! AH Another great reaction! EDIT: Dunno if you learned this later, but I believe the only name we have for the Sith is what Mae called him when we met him, Qimir, which might be a fake name considering the circumstances. EDIT 2.0 (I need to finish listening to your analysis before I post this lol): Oversight seems a good idea but you mention having the Jedi bothered by politics and when it comes to the prequels, the order is little more than a tool of the Senate at that point... (no idea if you have watched Tales of the Jedi Order but the Count Dooku episodes are great for a short look at the Senate and the Jedi at that era) Ya, at least traditionally in star wars the Sith are fascists that want to take over the galaxy and then gain immortality... That happens so much.

Is it possible to form a Deep connection and even love someone that you've only known for a short amount of time Yes Because the Soul No pun intended measures growth not time To quote Master Poe in Kung Fu .The Jedi would only take children With the consent of the parents ,it was considered an great honor like Getting a scholarship and being accepted into a prestigious University .Or at one time marrying into a prominent family. Because the Jedi were so revered the idea that your child even if you came from a rich family like Count Dooku's Could become a Jedi was An incredible honor A once in a lifetime opportunity not to be passed up And even more so if you came from a quote humble or poor family .So to the best of my knowledge the Jedi never took a child without the consent of the parents .Now whether or not the child wanted to become a Jedi or was old enough to make that type of Conscious decision is another matter, But in the end the choice was that of the parents .If the Jedi had found out that OSHA and MAY were Created By a virgiens they would have been basically guinea pigs to be studied

Episode 7 was the second time I gave a 0/10 rating to a Star Wars production. Let's start with Torbin: You don’t give such a crucial role to a character whose motivations are unclear. Torbin isn’t a character; he’s just a plot device, and it’s painfully obvious. Plus, let’s break down the logic: Torbin wants to go back > Thinks kidnapping children will get him home faster or improve his situation > This leads to all the events > And then he kills himself at the end. This isn’t character development because his arc makes no sense. Show me that he’s nervous or ambitious-I want to know his motivations so that the character can be good and understandable. The Witches: So, the leader of the clan turns into a demon to save Mae. And now, a pacifist who wanted to talk suddenly doesn’t want to talk and does something that, from the Jedi’s perspective, is an act of aggression, especially considering what she did to Torbin earlier. She wanted to die. Brilliant pacifist. The witches, including her, showed that they were violent and used the philosophy of fear, so she was killed. And thats good. I was actually glad when all the witches died because they were awful. I didn’t feel sorry for them at all, and that’s only because their primary language was fear. This is not a way to quickly gain the viewer's sympathy, but only antipathy. Mind Control Over Wookiee: Indara jumps on Kelnaca and frees him by killing all the witches. Sorry, but is this Matrix or Star Wars? That’s not how it works. But the fight was actually okay. Sol: I used to call him a broken sage; now, I call him a broken idiot. The scene where he chooses Osha over Mae... Seriously, he had time to think it through and could have used the Force to lift them both. Also, his fixation on Osha-it was more unsettling than anything, like why is this guy so obsessed with her to be his Padawan? Explain why... because my immediate association was with someone who like children to much. And unfortunately, I’m serious. My suggestion: Maybe Sol lost someone, and Osha reminds him of that person, or he made a promise to his master to continue their legacy. Is that so hard? (Additionally in ep 6, Sol ignored the fact that Jeckie and his companions were killed by someone who called himself a Sith...)
