This is an example of “razor edge”coackwork, which F&W were famous. Being 1947 it is probably 4.25 litres the engine was later made into 4.5 and I think 4.75 before its final development as 4.9 litres. At this point RR decided the engine could not be developed further and introduced the 6.25 V8 which eventually developed into the 6.75 twin turbo about 50 years later.

Absolutely gorgeous! I believe it’s a ‘57, though, because of the full tail lamps. I have an exact 1:24 precision diecast replica of this Regimental Red beauty.
