I started the first morning session off on fresh Toyo R888R's setting out to set a new PB. The first two laps were nice, the second lap came up just a little short of my best. This was my first full day running with the blue group. It was so much fun running with the faster drivers. I cut the session short after the 10th lap. The active handling kicked in at the bottom of the esses in the braking zone. Hot tires and brakes caused me to almost loose the car while pushing hard running with the Porsche. He had all of that downforce.

The car isn't stock. The build was done by Vengeance Racing in the Atlanta area with road course racing in mind. 525 RWH and 535 RWT. The factory heads were ported and polished, mild cam, CAI, catch can, Kooks long tube headers with X-pipe, then tuned. Running on Toyo R888Rs and stock suspension. My very 1st track day at Road Atlanta. These are my 1st solo laps without my instructor. This was the most fun that I have had in a long while. This is a great way to enjoy your car without being juvenile on the streets.

you carried even more speed thru on lap 7, with something all over the front glass? rain? oil? yikes.
Lap 6 was pretty strong, esp thru the chicane, you cut almost 7 seconds off that lap and you carried about 10% more speed thru the chicane. nicely done. your a great driver.

Thanks Rich! Yes, warming up the tires. I was running Toyo R888Rs and wanted to get some heat in them. The temp was in the 40's.
Why do you have to stay out? Next time when you run into stuff like this, PIT. Don't park on the grass of a hot track. It's not safe for anyone.
Maybe you missed the part where he thought it was light rain and when he hit the wipers his whole windshield clouded over. Kinda hard to pit when you can’t see where you’re going….
@@pdriver870 He has a whole lap and half between getting shit on his windshield and pit. BTW I was driving in that session too. He could've done better. Much better.

Nice. Congrats on your PB! I know the camera doesn’t provide the feedback required, but that looks like it can hold a good bit more out of the exit on the top corner and the exit corner headed into the final turn before S/F. Your charge up the hill on 3-7 is really impressive.

Thanks, John! Green/Yellow also. I asked to be moved to the Yellow group on Sunday afternoon so that I could drive solo, and after a check ride, I was able to do so. I was able to run the last session and a few laps in happy hour alone. I joked that I had a 220 lbs weight reduction by not having my instructor riding with me. Road Atlanta is my home track, so I'll be running there often. I will be in a silver C6 Z06 #17 or #717.
