Looking at this video in 2024 and the way you did the dowels is backwards from what most do. You took the "drawing concept" out when you drilled the dowel hole through the bread board. The 2 outter mortises should have had the ends squared with a chisel to allow side to side movement of the square shouldered tenon.

I don't have all the tools you do. I have a miter saw, a Ryobi table saw, sanders and paint sprayer. Is this too much for a first time project? And what tools are a must have to do something like this, besides a routing table?

Worthless product as Titebond III is an overall better product. Where's his glue manufacturing plant. Subscription based glue... Lol. Everyone wants to have your credit card on file. 50 years building cabinetry and furniture and not a single time have I run out of glue. Not sure I've ever run out of anything.

i would add some metal U profiles, like both sides so when you drop your tailgate hard it wont split

Why is it that every 10-15+ year old Chevy's tailgate handle is missing and/or doesn't work? 😂😂😂 Helluvah video and idea. I've been wanting to do the old school wood bed liner in my 2010 for a while now and I'm getting some ideas on how to do it. That'd be cool to try for this since it has the wood tailgate now.

Brilliant, cut the end then square the length to that.

Find ways to the product cheaper, even if the logo is something you cherish, switch to something more sleek and less overwhelming, and find other people to help you manufacture the bottles that you use to store the glue. you want these to also look nicer.
