I love Frostiana! Bravo to all. I can't tell you how many times ive sung it. Oh Star is also one of my favorites.

My favorite rendition of my favorite piece of poetry! I learned this song 60 years ago at Hudson HS (Hudson, OH)...this tune just came to mind, and I'm glad I was able to find it again!

I loved singing this in high school-such an intriguing, memorable alto line!

I was in high school in 1963 when the music teacher announced that as part of UMass'es centennial they had commissioned a piece by Randall Thompson and anyone who wanted to could be in the chorus. I have kicked myself ever since for not signing up.

I sang this in the 1982 SWMO All District Honors Choir under the direction of Rick Weymuth. One of my absolute most favorite pieces of all time

I remember performing this in our high school choir back in 1974!

I got back to the Twin Cities after college at IU, and briefly fell into the position of choir director at a large, local public high school. My old mentor asked if I'd help out because the band director who'd been put in charge had little choral experience, and the choir had dwindled to almost nothing. So, even without a teaching certificate, I started with the group of 5 sopranos and one tenor. Within five months, there were 30 kids in that program, and we did this piece at our Spring concert. It was not perfect, but it was in tune and they even sang musically. One of the top musical experiences of my life.

I too have loved this song since singing it in high school, 1970’s, northern Ohio.

Danville, Il. H.S. A Capella Choir performed this in 1968 under the direction of Helen Wolff ; I was fortunate to be the piano accompanist for our amazing choir .

I have loved this peace since I first heard in 1972. My favorite piece in the South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) High School Choir under Mrs. LaRue Perry, who died in 2015. Lovely rendition here!

Thank you to Mr. Tom Gress , Choral teacher in high school. I am so thankful that this fantastically skilled and talented man chose this song for our graduating class at Stranahan high school in 1988. It was an honor to be his student and to do this piece. It has stayed with me my entire life. Anywhere I go I leave a beautiful rendition of the written words behind for the next people who live there to enjoy…And now I must add that yes… I have taken the road less traveled and it HAS made all the difference. Ah, I remember performing this song in high school concert choir… Brings back so many memories.

Good to hear this at a sensible pace. It is far too often rushed. A true adagio allows for clarity. The piano accompaniment is precise but unobtrusive. Well done all round!

Sang several of the Frostiana pieces, including this one, while part of the Harstine Island Community Choir, Washington. Directed by Elizabeth Berndt, one of the best! What a beautiful song! :)

You got the title wrong but it shows up correctly at the video's start.

We performed the whole of Frostiana and somewhere there is a record of us in the early 70s (around 73 or 74). Briarcliff High School Chorus, under the direction of Robert Ellis.

I go searching for a performance of "The Road Not Taken" and I stumble over the song version of it instead of a poem recitation... I didn't even know this was a song... You really learn weird things when searching on CZcams.

Robert Frost was my mother's favorite poet, and when we did "Choose Something Like A Star" in high school it moved her so much. The power of music!

Accompanied my high school chorus on piano in 1980. We were awesome! Love this music!

I love this. They sing it with a very clear and crisp American folk theme style. The melody will always stick with you. The chorus photo is lovely. Very professional and polished, too.

When I was a high school student in the 1960’s, and Frostiana was practically still wet off the press, I had the privilege at age 16(!) of accompanying the entire work for the A Capella Choir in Stow High School, under the direction of Parke Cooley. He demanded, and often got, exquisite music from a boisterous group of teenagers. "The Road Not Taken" was my favorite, and it still brings tears to my eyes to hear it sung well. Orchestra deeply engaged. Choir appears detached from music as if they're sight reading. They're hitting the notes but missing the dynamic markings of this wonderful masterpiece!

I sang Frostiana in high school choir. We didn't sound nearly as good as y'all, but we did our best :) This particular piece remains one of my favorite choral compositions of all time. Just beautiful!

Few men? I sang with this group from '99-'01 we had 3 Tenors, 4 basses and 14 women, Which meant we got to enter some concerts with a lady in each arm!

Very nicely done. This is one of my all-time favorite charts, partly because of the beautiful overtones.

Sopranos usually aren't that loud. Because, in one of my choirs I've been in, there were way more alto's than sopranos, and the sopranos still overpowered us. When I asked my music teacher about it, she said that there's more frequency sounds with sopranos since their notes are so high. And that's why their so loud. Just thought it was an interesting thing to share :)

Honestly this is the best performance of "Sing Me to Heaven" I have found on youtube. There are just TOO many HS performances of it on youtube and not enough professional choruses. There is a strident soprano in the chorus, obviously. The tenor color was too feminine (bc of the girl tenors). Rounder, matched vowels are needed for sure, which will help give the piece a warmer (albeit straight) tone. Overall, good job. Work some more!

That was really good. I'm going to assume to that this is a high school choir. Work on your vowel shape and breathe support. Singing through your noise will make the sound shrill. Try mixing up and matching voices, it works better for smaller choirs.

There really weren't enough boys in order to equal the sound out. Some particular people stuck out-- there was a shrill soprano that should have more support in her diaphragm and should have warmed up more and a very loud boy who stuck out but wouldn't have if there had been more boys. The altos also sounded a bit youthful for this piece, but overall, great performance

the best preformance of this song ive seen on youtube yet. my chamber choir did this song last year and it sounds so much better in a small group. (mine was 21ppl) sopranos were a bit loud but everything was on pitch and your conductor took it slow (thank god) some other groups rushed and it sounds so bad that way. im totally faving this ^-^
