Motorcycle Adventure in Montenegro with WildSherpas Motorcycles. Day Three
A whole new adventure! I'm use to the mountains of Britain, but this adventure started by hopping a plane to Tivat, Montenegro to join WildSherpas Motorcycles for 5 days to see what they had to offer.
They have a fleet of Royal Enfield Himalayans, supplied by the guys from Cooperb Motorcycles in Northampton, they're easy to load up with your luggage, easy to ride and perfect for the varied terrain of the area.
We loosely followed their 3day 'The Dinaric 650' tour (we spread it over 4days and didn't do every bit of the official tour)
Day Three started riding through Lovcen National Park from the hotel and down to "Rijeka Crnojevica," a primordial, lily-covered river that feeds into Skadar Lake. Stopping at Virpazar for a quick coffee, we then continued down to the nearby Albanian border, where we had lunch at a restaurant with spectacular views over Albania.
We then followed the coast, climbing higher, with amazing views over Bar.
The day ended with some twisty back roads and back into Lovcen National Park for our last night at the Monte Rosa Hotel.

Went to visit Ian and Jack down at Cooperb Motorcycles in Wellingborough, and took out the new 450 Himalayan while I was there. Not really a review, just me rambling on a bit! The reviews have been really good from most people, but quite a few times the issue of weight came up which, been only 5'6" and about 55kg, it made me a little apprehensive. The first trail of the day, no idea where we were, near the quarry close to Cannop ponds? With it been the first trail the camera angle was all wrong. Definitely coming back to explore more here.

A small tip - if you put the handlebars on full right lock, the bike will feel less heavy when you lift it off the sidestand.

I'm so shallow I've ordered one in the black.
The ONLY negative complaint I've heard is that it's geared about 50% too low in 6th gear. Every motorcycle sold today is geared too low, because motorcycle companies hate their customers and want them to consume more gasoline, more oil changes, more valve services, and to have more vibration. A taller 6th gear would solve the vibration issues on the Himalayan. So if you're going to ride on the highway daily, which most people in North America will be doing, then you'll want to get a 10 tooth smaller sprocket for the rear (if they ever make them). Custom sprockets can be made now with CNC machines, so that might be the best bet. Going with an extremely small rear sprocket makes motorcycles SO MUCH more enjoyable to ride on the street---you want the highest gears possible, to the point that 6th gear is nearly unusable until you hit 65mph.
How does torque feel below 3000rpm ? IMO 1 can further improve himi 450 by changing sprocket ratio for more low end torque 🤔since many seems to say it feel less torquey below 3000rpm.

@@a.j.onbikes in general how does it feel ? does it feel like engine is struggling to work below 3000rpm ? or does it feel like engine will stall if 1 was to keep chugging along like tractor like 411 can do ?
@@tatasth8559 it was still happy chugging along, but i didn’t feel the need to let it, it seems to want to be ridden faster than the 411, which is not a bad thing.

Nope.... I’m 5’8”, ride std height BMW GS, and simply stand on the near side footrest and lift my leg over. Try it... easy peasy.
unfortunately the layers I had on made it difficult to swing my leg over, whether I stand on the peg or not, the joys of winter riding! 🤣 I'm far more nimble in the summer 🤣

How long til some old codgers with trekking poles kick up enough of a fuss to make this illegal, the bridge is being repaired on the 2nd of September and I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to revoke the right of way after that citing "safety concerns".
Yea, it’s exported in 4k, but for some reason only uploads in 1080p, not sure why. Still got to play around with camera angles and uploading 🙈🤣
Nice trail! I miss this part of my life! You should work on a video quality a bit because for 1080p it looks very pixelated maybe change export settings and test couple of times?
