I've been playing Runik off and on since the deck came to Master Duel. I love the *idea* of Runik, but in practice, it feels a lot less fun than it could be. @MoskalMedia Před 10 měsíci

      War Rock/Gouki is a combination that would be interesting. I've never played Gouki before, only played against it in Solo Mode, what's it like? I ran an Amazoness deck with War Rock cards splashed in during the N/R festival, which was a lot of fun. War Rock Gactos and War Rock Skyler work well with the deck. Outside of those circumstances I don't think an Amazoness/War Rock deck would work too well, unfortunately, because Amazoness with the new support is so focused on the fusions. The War Rock cards would be bricks. The N/R one worked well because there were no fusion monsters, so it was all battle focused.

      War Rock is one of the most entertaining decks I've played for that reason. I once had a person attack my War Rock Meteoragon with their 5300 attack Accesscode Talker, only to realize War Rock Meteoragon negated Accesscode's effect and thus its attack boost. I think I have that video on here somewhere. I wish War Rocks got more recognition, they don't deserve the "worst deck ever!!!!" reputation from the community. In the current meta with fusions and links being rampant, with XYZs also being fairly common, I haven't equipped Vahram much because I haven't faced many synchro decks in a while. Even though it's a Magistus card, Endymion can be searched by Spell Power Mastery since it he's Endymion, which is cool. Also, I only have one copy of Infinite Impermanence in Master Duel at the moment, so replacing two of the cards here with more copies of Impermanence would be a good idea. The Magistus core is slim enough that you can easily run three copies of each monster and still have space for a good number of handtraps. Cards like Crossout Designator, Effect Veiler and Ghost Ogre would be good choices too, I just don't have all of the UR handtraps/spells/traps yet. Secret Village of the Spellcasters is also probably a better choice than the Magician's Hands, but be aware that not all of the extra deck monsters are spellcasters. For the extra deck, you can replace a Aiwass with something like Divine Arsenal Zeus if you have it. I tried running an Invoked Magistus deck, but the playstyles conflict with each other so I don't recommend it. Thanks again for watching! I hope this helps!

Getting rid of Elemental Hero Sunrise by reviving Ningirsu with Auram and then sacrificing the Auram for Ningirsu's effect was a cool moment, too. Although I almost cost myself the duel earlier by forgetting Sunrise's "destroy 1 card" effect, so I guess I played good and bad here! I need to finish this deck. I forgot that Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon can target *any* card and return it to the hand, not just monsters. I attacked with Aqua Argonaut, only for them to bounce Marincess Battle Ocean back to my hand, destroying all the equips and leaving her without any protection and a mere 2300 attack. What was especially funny/sad is that I had Marincess Wave *in my hand,* but I didn't activate it ahead of time because I thought Jet's effect wouldn't do anything against Argonaut and I assumed I need it later. It's funny because Witchcrafter is my main deck, and while I did love the Magistus lore/art, I tried them out mostly because I also got all their cards in the secret pack when I built Witchcrafters. I struggled with Magistus at first because I had to learn how to use the extra deck monsters effectively as both monsters and equip spells, but once I got the hang of it, it became one of my favorite decks. It's both funny and awful when you go first...only to discover your opponent is playing a deck that doesn't use any of the extra deck monsters you currently have equipped to Zoroa! I still remember my "oh COME ON" reaction when I got Zoroa equpped with a link, XYZ and Fusion, only to realize my opponent was playing Pendulums and went with a synchro summon, haha!

    • @MoskalMedia
      @MoskalMedia Před rokem

      Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate that you took the time to watch this long duel and left a comment. My Magistus deck uses an Invoked engine. Since Crowley can change its own attribute when on the field, he has a natural synergy with Invoked (as you would expect from a younger Aleister). You can use him for Invocation in the event you don't have the necessary attribute for the fusion. Here's my decklist: Main Deck -Zoroa x3 -Rillona x3 -Endymion x3 -Crowley x3 -Aleister the Invoker x2 -Ash Blossom x3 -Gamaciel x1 (finally caved and crafted it during the Duelist Cup) Spells Magistus Theurgy x2 Magistus Vitra x2 Trimagistus x2 -Magistus Invocation x1 -Invocation x2 -Magical Meltdown x2 -Called by the Grave x2 -Raigeki x1 -Harpie's Feather Duster x1 -Lightning Storm x1 -Twin Twisters x1 (added this recently too due to Runik/Labyrinth) -Magician's Left Hand x1 -Magician's Right Hand x1 Traps -Solemn Judgment x1 -Infinite Impermanence x1 Extra Deck -Zoroa, the Magistus Conflagrant Calamity x2 -Rillona x2 -Artemis x2 -Aiwass x2 -Vahram x2 -Ninaruru x2 -Invoked Mechaba x1 -Invoked Augeonides x1 -Invoked Radjin x1 I'm still not 100% sure about the ratios here. I haven't used Radjin in a duel yet, so I might replace it with something else or add another Mechaba. I'm also not sure about Magician's Left Hand and Magician's Right Hand. On the one hand (ha) I might have won this duel with it, since my opponent couldn't activate spells against me once it hit the field. But since Magistus involves using the extra deck monsters as equip spells, the hands take up a slot on the field that could go to a Magistus monster. Also, I only have one copy of Imperm, Judgment, Droplet, and Raigeki right now. so if you have more copies and want to add them, go ahead. I would only include one copy of Lightning Storm because Magistus is very much a "going first" deck and it can brick if you draw it later in the duel. Still worth running at 1, maybe 2? I also don't have Nibiru yet so you could add it as well if you have it. I am waffling on whether I should have a third copy of Trimagistus or not; I used to run it at three but moved it down to two. Also, something critical to note: Zoroa automatically equips a Magistus extra deck monster to itself upon summon. Since the monster was equipped to it by *it's effect*, if you get hit with Impermanence or another effect-negating card, the monster you equipped to it will be destroyed. BUT, if you use a Magistus monster in your graveyard or Magistus Theurgy to equip a card to Zoroa, it will not be destroyed if Zoroa's effect is negated, because you did not equip them through Zoroa's effect. This usually won't come up, but it can be critical in certain situations, so be aware of it. The key monsters in the deck are Zoroa (both forms), Rillona (both forms), and Artemis. Zoroa is your starter and the card which you want to bring out as quickly as possible, Rillona is your spell searcher, Zoroa's upgraded form is your boss monster, and Rillona lets you special summon another Magistus from deck, allowing you to get to Zoroa in the event you didn't draw him. Artemis lets you search a Magistus monster each turn when it's an equip spell. Rillona and Crowley also let you equip your Magistus extra deck monsters in the graveyard to a Magistus on the field, which is critical. I haven't used Endymion as much, but he can let you draw a card and like Zoroa he can also equip a Magistus extra deck monster to another card on the field. Aiwass and Vahram are cards you won't summon often, but they can win you entire duels: Aiwass can Quick Effect steal an opponent's monster, and Vahram destroys all face-up cards your opponent controls, so you can intentionally use it as a nuke by crashing it into an opponent's monster. I don't think I've ever Ninaruru as a monster, but she's great spell-and-trap removal when equipped. At first, I didn't like Magistus. But now that I've used the deck more and understand it better, it's grown on me. It's a lot of fun, has some cool combos, and managing your equip spells means each duel makes you think about what opponent you are facing. The secret pack is comes in is probably one of the best in the game, too: it also comes with Witchcrafters (my favorite deck) and Invoked. In addition to my decklist, here's a handy guide from the Master Duel Meta website: www.masterduelmeta.com/articles/guides/magistus-guide-jei-rust Anyways, this was a super long reply so I apologize if this is overwhelming, haha. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions about the deck! I don't have any more duels to post right now, but I'll be posting more Magistus duels in the future alongside the duels I've already uploaded, so keep an eye out and check them out if you're interested.

    How did you get demise and the queen ( supreme version)?

    • @MoskalMedia
      @MoskalMedia Před rokem

      You have to get it in the secret pack "Miraculous Advent," which also has the Herald cards, the Impcantations, Megaliths, etc. To unlock the pack, generate a super rare or UR card, and you will have the pack unlocked for 24 hours. You can also unlock the pack for free by beating the Demise and Ruin, Megalith, and Herald gates in Solo Mode! Beating the Demise and Ruin solo mode gate will unlock a starter deck with most of the deck, though the supreme versions of Demise and Ruin are only available through Miraculous Advent (or by generating them). Unfortunately, they are both Ultra Rares, so be aware of that if you plan to generate them, as they will cost you a lot of UR points. I ended up only getting one of each from the secret pack and I ended up generating two copies of each. I could have eventually obtained them by buying more copies of the pack, but I didn't have enough gems at that point. I did get a lot of copies of Diviner of the Herald and Herald of Ultimateness instead. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!

      First of all, I apologize for taking so long to reply! For some reason I didn't see a notification from CZcams, so I didn't notice your comment until now. I'm still tinkering with the deck, so my decklist is not 100% done yet, but here is what I have so far: -Demise, Supreme King of Armageddon x3 -Ruin, Supreme Queen of Oblivion x3 -Demise, King of Armageddon x2 -Ruin, Queen of Oblivion x1 -Demise, Agent of Armageddon x3 -Ruin, Angel of Oblivion x3 -Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands x3 -Impcantation Candoll x2 -Impcantation Talismandra x2 -End of the World x3 -Cycle of the World x3 -Turning of the World x3 -Breaking of the World x2 -Pre-Preparation of Rites x3 -Called by the Grave x2 -Lightning Storm x1 -Harpie's Feather Duster x1 -Renewal of the World x1 Also, here are some tips that I've learned from using the deck. You may know this already, so apologies if I'm repeating what you already learned, but I figured I should say it anyways. After trying the deck with two copies of Ruin, Supreme Queen and Demise, Supreme King, I ended up crafting another copy of both cards. Two copies seemed too inconsistent. Also, something really important: both cards get benefits from being ritual summoned using only ritual monsters, but if you are in a situation where you only have enough ritual monsters for one of them, ALWAYS go for Ruin, Supreme Queen of Oblivion (which is what I did in this video). Demise doesn't require 2000 LP if its ritual summoned using only ritual monsters, but Ruin's effect of being able to attack twice each turn is the far superior effect. In the grand scheme of things, the 2000 LP cost means nothing if you OTK. In an ideal situation you would be able to summon them both using only ritual monsters, but that usually never happens, at least not on the same turn. You will almost never use the base forms of Demise and Ruin. They are mostly fodder for the higher forms, though regular Demise can still be useful in a pinch. Unfortunately, since the Supreme versions are not specifically mentioned on the ritual spells, Pre-Prep can only search for the original Demise and Ruin. It is still one of the most essential cards in the deck, though, because it adds one of the ritual spells and one of the ritual monsters into your hand, which will hopefully allow you to get one of the Supremes to the field. Also, I haven't crafted this yet which is why its not in my deck, but I read a useful tip online: add a copy of Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max to your deck. In the event that you get Demise, Supreme King and Ruin, Supreme Queen to the field, but you don't OTK, you can summon Gustav Max and detach a card from it to inflict 2000 damage to your opponent. The main thing I am not sure about is the exact number of Demise, Agent of Armageddon and Ruin, Angel of Oblivions to have. It might be better to have those at two copies each and run three copies of Impcantation Talismandra and Candoll instead. Impcantation Chalislime could also be useful, as it can pull an Imp you need directly from the deck. I might need to put End of the World and Cycle of the World at two copies each, but the reason why I am hesitating on that is because Candoll can bite you if you have it in the hand with no ritual spells. The ritual spells are the deck's biggest weakness. End of the World requires EXACT levels, which is pretty awful on a ritual spell (I have lost multiple duels because I had everything I needed in my hand, but End of the World didn't let me ritual summon one of the Supremes because I didn't have the exact levels required). Cycle is great, as the levels of the monsters used for the ritual summon do not have to be the exact level...but it only works by using monsters on the field. Turning of the World is the best ritual summoning spell in the deck, but since it is NOT a ritual spell, it can't be searched, and Candoll does not work with it. Renewal of the World is honestly the best ritual summoning tool in the deck aside from Turning, but it's a trap, which is unfortunate because it is slow and vulnerable to getting destroyed. I would only run one copy of Renewal for that reason. If you want to drop Renewal for something else, go ahead. I used to run one copy of Preparation of Rites, but I am trying the deck without it since it can only bring you one of the level 4 ritual monsters. It might be better to run two of the level 4 rituals and add at least one copy in the deck. Since I ended up writing an entire essay here, I figure I should probably stop here, haha. If you have any more questions about the deck, let me know. If I come up with a better build after doing some more duels, I will let you know. And thank you for watching this video and for leaving a comment. It really means a lot to me!!!

    • @MoskalMedia
      @MoskalMedia Před 2 lety

      @@henrys5506 It's funny you ask this because I've been working on a pure Megalith deck right now in Master Duel! I've been too nervous to try it in Ranked Duel yet, haha. Still trying to figure everything out. I think a Demise/Megalith deck could work. If you have one of the Supreme versions in your GY, Megalith Phul could make herself level 10 and then bring it back to your hand, giving you instant access to a ritual summon AND providing you with the additional effect for Demise/Ruin. Also, the level 4 Demise/Ruin rituals actually could work great in Megalith. When they are sent to the graveyard, Demise, Agent of Armaggedon and Ruin, Angel of Oblivion offer battle/effect protection for your Ritual monsters, which could protect your Megaliths. So there is definitely some crossover synergy with Demise and Ruin. That being said, I haven't tried a Demise/Megalith combination yet, so I have no idea if it is consistent. It would be worth looking into. Your comment inspired me and I will have to test that soon, so I'll let you know more when I eventually get around to it. Also, they both come in the same secret pack in Master Duel: if you are interested in Ritual monsters, it is probably one of the best Secret Packs in the game, as it gets you the Heralds, Megaliths, Impcantations, and Demise/Ruin cards, plus cards like Preparation of Rites, Pre-Prep, Advanced Ritual Art, etc.

    • @MoskalMedia
      @MoskalMedia Před rokem

      @@henrys5506 I don't know if you care, but I've made some adjustments to the deck, so I thought I would post the updated decklist here: -Demise, Supreme King of Armageddon x3 -Ruin, Supreme Queen of Oblivion x3 -Demise, King of Armageddon x2 -Ruin, Queen of Oblivion x1 -Demise, Agent of Armageddon x2 -Ruin, Angel of Oblivion x2 -Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands x3 -Impcantation Candoll x3 -Impcantation Talismandra x3 -End of the World x1 -Cycle of the World x3 -Turning of the World x3 -Breaking of the World x2 -Pre-Preparation of Rites x3 -Called by the Grave x2 -Lightning Storm x1 -Harpie's Feather Duster x1 -Terraforming x1 -Renewal of the World x1 I found having three copies of Ruin, Angel of Oblivion and Demise, Agent of Armageddon ended up being too bricky. I may need to add Preparation of Rites to the deck to make adding them to the hand easier. Renewal of the World is just so bad, requiring the exact level of the monster you want to summon is too difficult to justify running more than one copy. I moved Candoll and Talismandra to three copies, and after using the deck more I think having them at three is ideal. I tested Impcantation Chalislime in the deck, and it is an amazing card for ritual decks...but I found it wasn't useful in Demise and Ruin because you don't need the full impcantation package. Since you're trying to OTK your opponent, you do not need to worry about bringing ritual monsters and ritual spells back from the graveyard (Cycle of the World recycles anyways, and Renewal of the World can ritual summon using a monster in your graveyard). Chalislime, Penciplume, and Bookstone are great cards, and they could be useful in the deck, but I never felt like I *needed* them the way I did Candoll or Talismandra.

So if you need help in making that deck please feel free to ask for tips ;) Second, your opponnent clearly don't use an optimal Odd-Eyes build. You don't run Trap cards because you want to pull the Electrumite + Astrograph combo (which can do by Pendulum summoning just 2 Pendulum Monsters) to have Arc + Vortex on the field in your very first turn. The level 8 monsters he played (Odd-Eyes Advent Dragon) is also a bad card to use in an Odd-Eyes deck in general, and no experimented player would tribute Vortex to summon it. Anyways, GG !

Another thing, since I'm already bombarding you with questions haha: can you explain the Electrumite/Astrograph combo? You get Electrumite to the field, add Chronograph to your extra deck, then destroy one of your own cards with Electrumite's effect to get Astrograph to the field, which gets you another card in your hand? Do I have that right?

      Yeah, it can be a bit confusing, but Skill Drain still allows you to activate the effects of monsters on the field, it states so on the card. "Negate the effects of all face-up monsters while they are face-up on the field (but their effects can still be activated)." That's also why something like Stardust Dragon still works under it, as it also leaves the field if you activate its effect. The only Witchcrafters that get negated by it are Verre and Haine. As well as the effect of Edel to summon one from the hand as she stays on the field.
