I was going to take a day off from fishing today, but my brother and nephew wanted to go, so we went for a little while. A Black Booyah buzz-bait was the MVP bait for me this trip.

Went to a lake instead of the river this time in hopes of some big largemouth bass for my kayak tournament. This place had tons of lily pads surrounding the whole lake. Looks like I know what I'm going to do. Through the hollow body frog.

Today I went further south on the river than I've ever gone before. Kayak Bass fishing. Illinois. Bass tournament.

Fish Week June 2024 Day 3. Back to the river. I didn't want to waste time going to a lake again looking for largemouth bass, only to get zero bites and wase my morning like I did for Day 2, so I went right back to the river instead and got right to work. Kayak bass tournament in progress. Still in 3rd place.

Day 2. The 4in Yum Dinger in Bubblegum Lemon swirl was the MVP bait yesterday for Day 1, so I brought some of those again. It got me some fish again, but my all-black popper with red mouth, and white feathered tail I airbrushed a few days earlier took the show today. First time using it, and it didn't disappoint. One week off of work. Fishing everyday if possible. Kayak Bass fishing tournament. All June long. Top 5 smallmouth and top 5 largemouth in length. It's June 16th. I'm currently in 3rd place. I picked he hottest week to take off!!! I've already got my limit. The plan for today is to upgrade both smallmouth and largemouth bass if possible.
