As GenX I can tell you that I don't care about your feelings. Karen's and Kevin's are Gen x'ers that they kept in a box but now they're out. As Gen X I did very well financially. I grew up a latchkey kid, I am the forgotten one in that generation and I'd like to keep it that way. We like to fly under the radar but mess with us and we'll end you. And as for your karen comment, you might want to be careful. karens range from all age groups and saying that all karens are gen x'ers, will you might just be poking a stick into a hornets nest. We gen x are the feral generation that grew up on mess around and find out. with all that we still had the brains and resolve to develop all this technology and freedoms that you younger generations cannot live without.

Boomers stuck together even though they had numbers and raped the world of anything good, cheap or free then in greedy fashion wouldn't step aside and retire in the name of continued greed keeping X from moving forward as should be forcing X to be the first generation that had to work 2 jobs and travel everywhere to "follow the money". Millenials come in after X had to find there own way then coddled by Boomers because X no longer wanted to look after them as they were being held back. Meanwhile millenials move in on easy street as Boomers finally move on taking the majority of what is good once again screwing X. Millenials are the first entitled generation and have nothing but timing , opportunity and numbers to credit.

the concept of GenX happened well before the 90s. Billy Idol started in a band called Generation X before he started his solo career in 1981. Karens are only a thing because there are stiff consequences to someone smacking the shit out of them immediately afterwards.

I don't think they rely on their parents too much. But I think most regular working class people in the UK don't get help from parents at all because they can't afford it. For these people their parents help is a blessing and that's a respectful part of their culture because it's harder than ever to get by as a young adult

In my country and most asian ones our parents help out until we get job Then when they are old we take care of them

That's how family works. At least in Asia. My parents funded me. I funded my siblings. My siblings are funding my nephews and nieces. Older ones will fund younger ones. We all fund our old parents.

As a brit myself it is impossible to support oneself fully independently during studies especially undergrad despite loans, unless parents are low income then students get a higher amount of loan. In our gen (GEN Z) more students go to uni than any generation before considering a vast amount of jobs expect a minimum of bachelors degree for a well-remunerated role. OFC a high number of people would be dependent on their parents even after the age of 18 for this reason. In Britain there is an expectation that people should become fully independent after the age of 18 despite growing academic demands in order to land a good job. This expectation isn't really in line with reality. most students are buying booze with their parents' money if not a nominal part time until at least 21. And chances are that doc eliza (whether GENZ or not) also depended on the bank of mum and dad unless she belonged to a low income family and therefore availed a bigger loan. or she got a very high scholarship which is very rare in this country (UK). And if herself depending on bank of mum and dad...hmmm...that too to study a degree in my opinion, which may be important but still isn't really playing a major role in boosting the country's economy - then walking around questioning the youth of the country who are probably going to more directly boost the country's economy (as they were students of engineering management) - it all seems a bit hypocrite to me - NO INTENTIONS TO OFFEND ANYONE - JUST MY THOUGHTS

This is why the Indian population thrive. And our own selfish families do not. I paid for my daughter's tuition and her rent to study in the city and thats what parents should do.
