DIY Non-toxic tulle dyeing - 3 easy steps
zhlédnutí 11KPřed 6 lety
Left over white tulle you don't know what to do with. This is the method I used to dye my plain white tulle from my wedding. It's so easy to do. I was able to make a multicoloured rainbow tutu with the dyed tulle pieces. Works great! Hope you enjoy and please subscribe :)
Hold on, what kind of paint? Is it? It just like random pain or like what specific fabric dye?
Going to try this ASAP, will report back 😉
Nice looking puppy dog....
This method stained my stuffed animal all over. It looks beautiful, but unfortunately, doesn't hold up. Disappointing.
This is amazing honey! Must try this! Thank you for sharing! xoxo
Thank you! This worked great! And soaking it in vinegar just “seals” it. It’s perfect!
So does it work
The tulle dyeing worked very well for me. Quick and easy. Is that what you are referring to?
@@mikabeth9255 yes thank you
@@mikabeth9255 ...that's great! Thank you for your review! I must try this!
Hi, I was wondering what material your tulle is made from? And does this process work on all tulle?
I purchased the tulle from Michael's. I haven't tried it on any other kind but I would think you should be able to dye any white tulle. Vinegar is a great method for setting the color in fabrics.
I'm not sure what's going on.. when I dip the tulle in vinegar it bleeds.. plz help !!!!
Try letting the paint dry on the tulle fully before putting it in vinegar. Could also be the type of paint you are using.
@@mikabeth9255 I let it dry for about 20 hrs lol (painted at night, went to sleep, then went to work the next morning). I'm using Reeves Watercolors from Joanns
@@dayday3439 watercolours dissolve in water as it activates them. It would be better to use acrylic paint
@@dayday3439 ...yes, that's why honey - watercolor will wash off
Surely fabric softener could soften the fabric. I will try
Hi.. have you try it?
@@sandrasuevung6139 yes I did and it worked
Thanks for the quick tutorial. I had 2 questions. #1 did you use regular paint? If so that brings me to question #2.. does the fabric feel the same after all the processes are done? Because I know paint can cause fabric to stiffen
Hey It's Hayley Vlogs Thanks for viewing. I used a non toxic acrylic paint. The tulle did become slightly more coarse but this could be avoided by using an acrylic medium to prevent hardening. Let me know if you try this and how it works out for you.
