Hi janicewilso.... You are right, he didn't. But why? Well, I have an opinion I'm happy to share. There is an old cliche " A happy crew is a productive crew". Now, the way I see this, there could have been unrest in the Wests tigers camp when Macguire was there. Perhaps he didn't see eye to eye with some of the hierarchy, maybe they didn't see eye to eye with him. Who knows? The great coach Jack Gibson once said "Success starts from the front office". He was probably right. A contented crew is a productive crew. Plain and simple.

The forward got smashed with no platform set. Teddy has been in the same position every time QLD dominates which is 70% of his origin career.

@MA-ri5he I wouldn't say they were smashed. NSW forwards had the chance to but couldn't. It's more like QLDs' forwards couldn't make and complete tackles properly. Teddy couldn't win cause he had no passing or kicking game. He had the platform set for him and would still slip and take the tackle cause his not as talented in attack but was good at backing up others and defending. Walsh has the most talent in attack where he could step, kick, or pass. He is that dangerous that he tries to attack without a platform being set.

I don't think he looses it for them, but I have for sometime thought he is not really up to the required standard at state level. To win a game of R L you need the best defensive team, after all, just ONE point is enough to win it!
