@@jeffpaggett7274 the operator told me that he was able to run 5 mph at 4.5" deep. You could probably run 7 if you shallowed up a little. But this was the primary tillage pass on some corn ground, so some depth was needed.

@@AbilityToBeAwesome thank you! All the farm equipment I post videos of belong to various friends of mine. I'm just blessed to be able to go out and video and also get a chance to run some of it! I grew up working on farms, and going on harvest, so I have made many friends that are farmers and ranchers, as well as custom harvester's!

@@John-nc4bl yes I believe it is a 875, I think the wheel version is a 975. Yes I agree, match them up as much as you can, and get the most out of the horsepower you have.

How does the tractor handle it? Is it quite loaded all the time?

@@Paul-rd5pw it handles it real well. The 70 foot implement can definitely put a load on it, but it handles it well. I would not want to pull this field cultivator with any less of a tractor than this one or a 9620RX. I know one farmer that was pulling one of these 70 footers with a 9570RX, but I'm sure it was a struggle at times, but it all depends on the soil type and how deep you go. We was running 2.5" deep to grab the weeds good, but when we raised up to 2 inches it made a pretty significant difference in the load. A half an inch can make a world of difference! Like I say though we was in some tight ground and it had brand new sweeps on it and 140 sweeps in the ground over 70 feet, you are moving a lot of dirt! This 9RX640 is quite the tractor and is a great match for this field cultivator!

@@jeffharper7579 it's incredible! This was the pinnacle experience for me for sure. I'm just amazed at how far equipment has came in the last 30-40 years, just amazing really!

I'm 57 and remember helping one farmer that had a John Deere a, grab the flywheel and spin er hard to start it.

@@jeffharper7579 yes sir! I've run some of the classic Johnny poppers myself with the hand clutch.

@@doughutchison6382 yes sir, we were covering 50 acres an hour for the most part. Our speed dropped a little bit in some tighter ground so we were running 5-6.5 in the tighter ground and once we got past the tighter ground our speed would come back up closer to the set 7.2.

@@doughutchison6382 we was on a roundtrip route that took us a couple of miles up river and back and it was about an hour and 10 minutes. They range anywhere from 30 minutes one way to 3 or 4 hours depending on how long you want to stay on the boat and which landing you embark and debark from. You can literally ride all day if you want. It's the same price regardless
