I think Jacob only really becomes a dick when you recruit Thane. Otherwise he's OK, just a kind of simple guy who sees the world a bit black and white. If you get tired of shooting guns you can use your engineer powers to get through almost any mission without shooting once.

In retrospect I actually started liking Jacob less and Miranda more the farther I got into the campaign. Miranda's cold-hearted but only works for Cerberus because she actually believes that she's helping humanity. Jacob actually seems to be aware of the group's shady past but still chose to work for them, his reasoning for which is pretty flimsy at best.

You pretty much had it figured out with combat drone, it gets enemies out of cover and distracts them, then you can hit them with incinerate for the damage. With Tali in the team you have two combat drones for crowd control and that makes the fight so much easier. Engineer + Tali + a biotic = OP team. With a biotic on the team you can remove harbinger's barrier super easy. So much crowd control and so much power damage. I hope you talk to everyone on Tali's mission, lots of good info dumps and perspective with everyone you talk to. Do Cerberus missions, if nothing else to take more of Cerberus' creds off them.

You've got a smudge on your chin juuuuuust there...did you know? 😁 So happy to see another episode. Little bit of an observation about engineer class, you are much stronger when you use abilities most of the time and use your guns only sometimes. Excellent use of incinerate with the thresher maw, for instance. Tali + Engineer Shepard are unstoppable when you are mostly fighting synthetics / geth. Otherwise Engineer plus biotic is the ultimate combo. Even more so when you get to Mass Effect 3. Firewalker is rubbish, so is MSV Rosalie. Some of the other Cerberus missions have some interesting elements. Overlord is essential, Arrival provides for better continuity with the opening scene in Mass Effect 3. That was one renegade interrupt that's safe to do, but navigating the conversation instead is interesting. A lot of the time though if you are trying to be mostly paragon being patient even with annoying people pays off...eventually.

ahhh you're in the krogan world. This is where you milk for credits in case you run short. THE PIT Fight. Just tame Urz, the red one and keep betting on him. You do this buy buying him food, and he starts following you around. Save before you bet in case you lose, just reload again. There may be times you keep losing even after reloading a save, you can just break the chain, and bet again. Should fill up credits 500 at a time.

Jacob isn't a bad guy as a person, but there are...better romance options coming along. He's fine as a friend, male Shepard and Jacob can get a long fine. Taking Miranda on Jack's mission makes for interesting dialogue, full of excuses. Just wait until you do Kasumi's mission, you'll get the best light weapon in the game, a billion times better than the tempest. Carnifex is great, but so little ammo. Thread that needle with incinerate between the tree and the crate! If you kill mechs with a head shot they do a bigger explosion, and with the big mechs they do a massive explosion, almost mini-nuke.

You'll probably read this well on your way to creating part 4, If you're a completionist, might want to try purchasing all the toy ship models available in the shops here as they carry over to ME3 when you import save, while you frolick about in the citadel. I remember missing to buy the soveregin from me2 and my ship collections in me3 remain lacking of that one ship in my quarters and by god damn, lost sleep for it

As an engineer you'll find scions and Harbinger pretty easy to deal with, with the drone being a distraction and you hitting them in the back with incinerate, just like you did on Horizon. Other classes have more difficulty without the drone distraction element. There are plenty of humans involved in all the shitty things Shepard runs into. I go down and have a chat with Zaeed on the regular and relax by dumping the trash. Sometimes a bit of mundane work helps to de-stress. Cerberus isn't as evil as most people think, aye Miranda? Soooo, you're saying they are evil, just not too evil. Good to know.
