For those that end up coming to this great video, putting a stud in place of the bottom bolt makes this job a lot easier.
Hi do you know the original numbers of the chicler?
No sorry I do not have the original numbers. The numbers are on a small aluminium tag that screws to the top of the float bowl mine was not readable. The kit I used was an N613 that covers most types of carbs used on the vitara as they come with 4 variations of 2 barrel carb.
You are the man works perfectly 👍 should of watch your video first spent an hour doing it the regular way your way 20 minutes A freaking plus
Glad it helped you. Thank you for watching.
Heyyy suuper cool idea. Soon the Fresher professional bass will be in the channel. José
Great idea. I believe I will be making one these for my tool box drawer
Let me know how it turns out in your toolbox drawer.
You have definitely got a nice set up in your Tool Box. Looks a fair bit like mine. I'm sure you suffer from the same problem as me 🤔 NO matter how many tools you own, you always manage to find something else you Want to buy, rather than Need to buy 😂 I have already started pulling my hands back from things I Want, to things I really Need ?? But even then I have already started getting to that point in my life when I simply Need to stop buying more stuff and seriously thinking about selling some of the things I can do without ??
I cannot justify buying tools anymore I have more than enough to do most jobs I sold a lot of tools when I last moved house 20 years ago and ended up replacing most of the stuff I sold unfortunately with lower quality I could not afford the makes of tools I used to have and as I no longer work as a mechanic the cheaper tools will have to do.
I remember when I first started working as a kid and pretty much everything I earned was spent on buying either hand tools, power tools and air tools. The ironic part was it took a Long time to justify buying an actual Tool Box to put all my Tools in. I followed the old mechanics way of hanging all my spanners on the wall and spent many nights after work hand painting a shadow image of where every tool went. A decent Tool Box back then were so expensive to buy, and I couldn't see the point of committing so much money to buying a tool box compared to buying tools. It's such a good feeling to have a nice Tool Box to put all your tools in 👍 My only regret now is ?? My young Son has no real interest in any of the work I do. At best, I can only get him involved in changing over parts in the CNC Lathe as they're completed ?? I stupidity wonder / worry what will happen to all the Tools I have purchased for so many years. It's honestly a huge shame, but he needs to follow his own path.
I started collecting tools from about the age of ten I just had an old ammo box to keep them in. When I started work in the 70s I bought a talco topbox from the catalogue at 2 quid a week and that box I still have and use. The problem I have is space If I get a car in to work on it there is no room for me to walk around it. I feel the same about my tools my son has no interest as well.
The concept looks fairly straightforward. How did it work out as far as generating power ? Did you manage to measure any output ? Of course that's assuming this was the reason for building it 🤔
Yes it worked with a home made generator I managed to get 200w at 12v constantly even in the slightest breeze a 60 mph wind took it out after 3 years. it would have driven 2 or 3 much larger generators and I worked out I could have got about 1 to 1.5 kw
6 Ton Workshop Press🤔 I'm curious IF it will be powerful enough for pressing a Wheel Bearing ?? I guess you will find out soon enough 👍
I think it will do the job it only has to press the wheel bearing in, as taking it out can be done in other ways if it is not powerful enough.
@makerepairbin Hopefully, it does work out okay for you. And like you mentioned, you're only Pressing it on. Not trying to remove it with the Press 👍
Looks like a very useful tool 🛠👍😊
I hope it is man enough for the job
Another thing that you'll wonder how you managed without! I use mine a lot. Best wishes, Dean.
Wanted one for years now I have got one I think you might me right.
I bought a 20ton from Harbor freight. I'm happy with it. Works great with wheel bearings.
Wish I could have got a 20 ton.
Looks Ok to me, well done!!
Thanks I think it will do the job.
Nice compact press for small jobs.
Yes when space is at a premium a bench to is ideal I hope it is going to be big enough for wheel bearings.
A good very pressing subject
Let's press on and delve deeper into this pressing subject!
Aye soo I have a 93 with crank no starts. It won’t catch but it has spark and it has fuel and air, carbs were rebuilt, and it won’t fire off? Got an ideas ?
If you have spark and fuel, Ignition timing or valve timing ,compression are things to check.
I have an 02 intruder 800 I lost the key. I cut the wires to the key drum in hopes to bypass and get it s started.... Any chance you can help me. Everybody wants to tow it and I don't have the loot for that so I was just trying to do it myself
I have a wiring diagram somewhere for your 2002 if I can find it tomorrow I may be able to help you.
What color wires have you cut? You should have 4 a red with white, an orange, orange and red and a brown.
You should have 4 wires Red with white, Orange, Orange with Red, and a Brown wire is that right?
I got same year.someone stole my keys,so not im faced with as ur issues.if u got done maybe u can fill me in..thanks
I wanted to start by saying your video is very knowledgeable I liked it thank you so much
Thank you I hope it helped you out.
This is great. Thank you!
Glad you liked it thank you.
Did you happen to notice if the neutral light was lit up or not prior to your repair?
Yes the neutral light was working otherwise That would be a place to start. If the switch is not working then it will have a no start also the clutch switch and side stand are also in the circuit.
Thankyou
No Problem. Thank you.
Hi did u fuel pump have too feeds to the carb got a fuel problem I think pumps not working sometimes but looks as if there is 2 feeds from itto carb thanks
The fuel pump has 3 pipes going to it, one goes to the carb, one is a feed from the fuel tank and the other is a return to the tank.If the pump is intermittent it is unlikely to be the pump it would be worth checking the fuel filter that is in the fuel line near the tank if this gets clogged up it can cause what you describe. Best of luck.
I like the little bird!
Oooh getting tech-eeee
Needs Must
Thank you sir, I may be able to get mine going now!

dude you are seriously talented great job. wish i had half the smarts you do
Thank you but I have had plenty of practise over the last 40 years and 5 years of that was in a body shop, the air brushing is new to me though this bike was my first air brush paint job I learnt how to do it from youtube.

love how the dog doesn't budge what a boss
He is used to it, he only moves if I use a welder or grinder or when it is food time.
Brilliant, this is exactly the reason why I need a 3D printer 🍺 👍 😊
I never thought I needed one until I got one. I bought the cheapest one I could find it came in kit form and it was fun to build.
Just looking at your socket drawer shows how useful it can be 👍
I have made some tools and parts for various repair jobs too. A 3D printer is a most useful tool.@@Everythings_Adjustable

That gasket showed great perseverance on your part....Why the hell do they make these carbs so bleedin' complicated now?....Whatever was wrong with the old SU carbs on old British motors that a kid of 5 could rebuild in 10 minutes?!
Everything gets more complex as time passes and not always for the best. It just makes things more difficult to repair when they go wrong.
