Great riding.... got a 450fx and 125x, so both ends of the spectrum. 250x would be a nice addition for sure. Any specific reason for you not to use a FX?
Stock ecu? Remap? I have a 2020 TX300i. Sent to Slavens for mule package remap, mainly for cylinder longevity. Man what a performance boost. Sounds like a different bike. I switched to a green PV spring to smooth it down some. Love the bike, especially the engine w TPI. (245 hours now)
I don’t have this bike anymore. I went back to Yamaha lol. But it was 100% stock. Didn’t do anything other than play with the square PV bolt to get the power where I wanted it.
@@STFCompound love my old YZ250. In anything that is flowy I’m as fast as on the TX. When it gets Gnarly tho, the TX really performs. The TX May have suited you better. The remap I mentioned really was no joke.
@@d.r.gossett8134 I loved the engine on the 300. But overall I couldn’t get the bike to work for me. I look for a specific feel and I was never able to achieve that. Even after throwing basically everything at that bike but TI Engine mounts. So I made the decision to go back home and it was the right choice for me.
Have you ever raced 4 strokes much? Or strictly 2 strokes? I ride a 21 yz 250 (mx model) and the thought of a 250f has crossed my mind a few times lol. I need to ride one
It was a totally different story from row 11. Total carnage and chaos with Grocery cart lines from first ravine to at least mile 3. The section across the parking area before head check was the nicest part of a lap. You made it look much easier than what looked like for most of us, but you usually do. Thanks for posting this video and great ride as always
When you and jack lapped me when I wasnt even done with my first lap was soul crushing. The fact that they thought it was OK to run that track how it was after all that rain was stupid. Wasnt even racing for us C & B class guys.
It was definitely a challenging track. If the conditions weren’t so soft. That track would have been all time in my opinion. It wasn’t easy for us either. Just a struggle for 2 hours
They never learn with this place, year after year we go there and it is wet or rains every time and they still put the wildest lines in on the softest dirt in indiana 😂
8:08 is where I was mentally defeated. 11:52 I hit the tree on the left. 12:20 is where I pulled off and went back to the truck lol. Took me an hour and a half to get that far. I had zero fun with this track, dude. I spent more time picking my bike up than riding, I think. Anyway... IXCR next weekend? Lol. Also, let me know if you guys ever put on a clinic somewhere, you made this look easy!
That track would have been so sick but the rain really ruined it. That ground is soft to begin with. So the rain made it worse and the bike just dug it all up. Can’t tell from the video, but you know how soft and gnarly it was. Definitely was not an easy track. I’m going to watch the weather. I might show up to IXCR. That track has a lot of mud holes so we will see how much rain we get 😂. We don’t do any riding clinics. But maybe we will consider it sometime. Problem is, there are races every weekend.
@@STFCompound Yea this track was the most challenging one I've ridden so far, I think. Then on top of that, add rain/mud lol. I suck at hill climbs and these were really putting me to the test. By the time I got to most of the hills, the bikes had dug up all the roots, so they were made even worse (for me anyway). My truck was parked right next to the hill at 3:27 so I got to watch you and Jack sending it on that in the later laps lol. Good racing!
Ohhh. I've been waiting for this video! That was an exciting watch. You and Coleman were BATTLING for a long time. I was basically yelling at the dudes who weren't moving for you. I followed someone down the same drop you jumped at 54:55. I said basically the same thing, "Definitely not doing that again". 😂 You guys up front are so fast man, like poetry in motion. I was back in D 22+ (placed 13th). Thanks for not running me over! 😂
Thanks for watching! Yeah Kenton and I had a good thing going until I ran out of gas haha. Lappers were insane! I hit that drop off for the rest of the race. Just got caught off guard. Didn’t know it was there. Extreme Saturday?
@@STFCompound I hit it on lap 2 and just avoided from there on lol. It seemed like every time he'd get hung up on lappers and you'd be on his tail, he'd get through and then the lappers would close the gate on you. Might be at Extreme if the rain doesn't soften the ground too much. Definitely at IXCR next weekend and will be at Rd 2 of MWXC tho.
Good to see the blue fender again! What’s up with the Husky? Really appreciate you being careful with the slower riders and the trail manners you have. Good ride and great video like always, thanks
Sometimes I’m too careful and it causes me positions / time lol. But I try to be respectful. I bleed blue. Tried the husky, great bike. But it just didn’t work for me. I look for a very specific feel and after throwing everything at it. I was not able to achieve what comfort I was looking for. So I went back home.
I ride tons of enduro and some motocross to. I genuinely don’t think I will come close to needing the power of this bike for a long time but it’s nice to have it. With that considered what should I buy. Keep in mind I’m 15. 😂
You can never go wrong with a Yamaha! All of their Offroad models work just find for motocross. But I wouldn’t say the motocross models work good for Offroad lol. All depends on what you want. Definitely look into a YZ125X and a YZ250X. You could always put a heavy flywheel weight on the 250X to take it down. Then once you are comfortable and used too it, take the flywheel weight off. Let me know what you decide and I hope this helps a little!
This was my first race! Started riding in June of this year. You lapped me at 26:15 and then again at 46:47. 😂😂 Great riding! Looking forward to seeing more when your forks are fixed.
@@STFCompound I liked Deer Ridge. Being new to riding, there were a couple sections that were particularly challenging, but overall it was fun. Definitely racing next year. I’ll probs race IXCR or MWXC, but do AM bikes instead of PM. I’m told AM bikes is a little slower. 😅
Amazing riding as always. Love hearing an angry 2t bike and you ride it well. Curious, thinking of doing some racing back there while on vacation and was curious what tires you run? I'm a desert rat so know clue what works there but whatever you use seems to stick like glue!
I used to run the Michelin starcross 5 medium front and rear. But they tires are no longer being made. So right now I’m running a left over starcross 5 medium front and a Dunlop MX34 on the rear. It’s up to you tho. I’m picky about my tires. But I believe a lot of people are running maxis and Dunlop now.
Have you considered putting the KYB’s on the husky? I rode KYM’s for 20 years, WP is their own worst enemy Kelvin at CSR can make them as good as KYB but it’s not cheap, Del Saggio was the guts back a few years
Re valved the shock. Forks need some major work lol. But working on that now. Dropped down to a 44 spring. Dropping down to a 14 1cs spring then adding more float to that. If that doesn’t work. I will modify the stack on the mid valve and add a split somewhere. To soften it up
@@mr.midlifecrisis8547 I like a soft bike. I’m 150lbs and I ride with the front end light. So I need it softer or else it feels super harsh like these 6500 inserts.
Put a gytr flywheel on the yz and u have one of the best bikes out there

That’s awesome! Congratulations 🎈🎉🎊🍾
Wow! What an awesome experience!
Grippin and rippin
I'd take lower res to watch longer btw.
Damn, need a bigger card that racing with Coleman was sooooo good. Thanks for letting us watch.
Wow! and then the fastest rows caught up...holfy shlt u guys are crazy.
