Love this man. Can’t dwell on it is right. Captain Andrew Haldane was a college baseball player and football coach prior to WWII. He was captain of the football team, served as president of the student council and was voted most popular senior in 1940. but he signed up for the marines to serve his country. His close friend Lt. hillbilly jones, also was a great guy who was from the south who usually smoked cigarettes and played guitar with his men in their downtime. Both Ack Ack and Hillbilly were killed within days of each other on Peleliu. Haldane was shot in the face by a sniper, and Hillbilly was on top of a tank giving it targets to hit, before he was shot. When both these men were killed, it had a major impact on these men long after the war. They saw two men who were superheroes, get killed suddenly. It haunted these vets, more specifically Eugene Slege and Snafu. Both the men were pretty haunted by the death they saw on Peleliu.

This season was amazing. I'm starting to see who the real villain of this story is. I can't wait to watch the story unfold in season 3 and 4 #TEAMBLACK

It just occurred to me - you were using Lazy River as a theme-tune. If anyone doesn't know the origin of the song, it was written almost entirely by Sidney Arodin, but Hoagy Carmichael appropriated it and made some changes, especially to the words. The original had an "unbroadcastable" type of lyric - including some of the same vowel-sounds in the same places. "Up a lazy river, with me" = "Just a lazy (thingamajig), that's me", try guessing the rest..

The Xavier storyline was the weakest link of the season. They should have let him remain in space thought to be dead. Him showing up ruined the show and it was boring after episode 5. Xavier showed up and it went instantly wack. All them speaches while the world is burning is lame as hell. Martin sounded good but you also needed Malcolm.

I really liked the idea of a meeting between Rhaenyra and Alicent, mostly because I love Olivia Cooke and Emma D'Arcy in scenes together and I really like the idea that both of them have learned what Viserys actually meant which will have some great effects on each of them going forward. That said, I also thought this episode was just okay. I can think of 3 shots right off the bat that were incredibly graphic but weren't really necessary which made then feel like they were just put in there for shock value, using almost the same dialogue for Rhaenys talking about the Greens vs the Blacks and Simon Strong talking about the Brackens and the Blackwoods felt a little on the nose (like the creators pointing directly at the parallel and saying "DID YOU GET IT??"), the whole bit with the guy claiming to be the bastard brother of Daemon and Viserys was weird for a few reasons (they leaned way too much into showing him being best friends with everybody, then as he was telling the Dornish guy about it he was talking like he was about to run a scam or something but then it just didn't go anywhere so now it just seemed like a painfully forced way to introduce this character), and some (not all) of the dialogue felt out of place, like not the way people in this world would speak. An okay episode but definitely one of the weaker ones of the show
