This was very interesting with a lot of great points! What is misleading is the notion that we can “choose” a day. If the “rhythm” as called in the video has been in place since the beginning than how are we able to just choose it’s course? The Sabbath day is not a day chosen by us based on preference of convenience. It is about divine alignment. If God decided the rhythm, He also decided the beat, the frequency and the timing. The Sabbath day has been established and for us to distort it based on preference due to convenience or being afraid of upholding unpopular opinion makes us just like those that plotted against the Messiah. They felt Sabbath should be based on what man says and not what God says. If God says rest on the seventh day, then He meant the seventh day… not the whatever works for you day.

I appreciate this guys honesty. As The Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12) we need to realize that if one part suffers the whole body suffers. And as The Body of Christ we need to all be working together toward the goal of living the life that Jesus died to give us. The natural body needs rest and in this same way, so does the members of The Body of Christ. Our pastor just did a sermon on Psalm 23, …He makes me lie down in green pastures. Jesus is also our Strong and Mighty Tower. We run into him to find safety and rest. And I often think of it as a place of respite. Where while I’m getting nourishment and rest, my armor is being mended, pounded back out, boots are being resoled, sword sharpened. Ready to get out there in the fight… BUT, in the strength of God’s Holy Spirit IN me! Not in my own strength but in His power and strength.

I was a regional truck driver and I mostly didn't go to a church building because I had a job that worked days at a time and required dedication to keep being available for the next load. I grew up in a holiness church but after the wife was expecting our second child I was drawn into truck driving. The wife was against a truck driving lifestyle but I didn't listen. Big mistake that was. I started listening to Christian radio and kinda liked that because I was alone throughout the mid 90's without cell phone and other people to talk to. You had to have lots of change for a pay phone back then. I have been trying a IFB Baptist Church now because I have Kidney failure and I can't work now. They have some really big differences but I just thought to God what do I do.? I missed Sunday morning, night and Wednesday night as I looked into the Bible and preaching and more prayer. I reasoned that We (that church )believe more alike than myself compared to a holy God. My answer is to love them because Jesus blood paid the price and commands to love them and also to love our enemies. Also the wheat and tares.

While I totally inderstand the core of the message, I think the use of "normal" is somewhat irresponsible given people who identify as neurodivergent probably have difficulty identifying as "normal" as it's usually conflated with being neurotypical. I'm sure this also applies to people with various mental health disorders or even physical disabilities. I understand that normal here is being used to denote having struggles in life and being relatable, but I can't help but think describing this as "normal" might not be the best choice of words, as some peoples struggles are because of societies perception they they are not "normal". Thus, this reinforces the use of normal as "relatable", implying things such as disability or neurodivergence is "not relatable"

I find this series very helpful. Do you know any good links to the promises of God? I am looking for a one pager I can print and keep by my bed to read before bed and then in the morning when I wake up. I looked but all I find is the 8,000+ promises God made.
