Guardiola has done well managing MCI in EPL. He has however failed to win UEFA. The last match against Lyon was marked by errors in player selection. Those who could have given MCI the attacking prowess were sitting on the bench!!! How? For a team that was able to defeat Real Madrid (back to back) to end in defeat against Lyon is hard to understand or come to terms with. Winning the local league EPL is a major achievement, a continental championship is an added feather to the cap. Though they did not win the EPL, their performance was good. Their UEFA outing this year had some initial inspiration, but ended rather early in the competition. On the whole I will give Guardiola 5 for EPL & 2 for UEFA over 10 = 7/10

I was surprised Setien chose to use 2 men upfront against Bayern and their High press, and amongst the two men is Suarez, who doesn’t run. This would have been the perfect game to have made Griezmann on one side and Fati from the other run from behind and get through balls because of how high Bayern plays. There’s only so much Messi can do and with the Defense that much in shambles, it was easy pickings for Bayern.
