I hate raids, i hate the bullshit spellements and i hate everything ratbeard did. Its been 3 years since i played and i keep hearing how bad it gets with every update. There's no way i can catch up to all that farming to be pvp ready either, ratbeard is just a shit show of a dev with terrible ideas

One of the biggest issues with PvE is that the majority of the worlds (arc 2 specifically) are exceptionally long but incredibly boring. For anyone doing PvE their second time (so they know the story), it's just a test of patience of how long they can tolerate doing boring defeat & collect or basic boss quests. There is simply not enough content to sustain the game if players don't like the lore, which is the majority of the playerbase; this is especially true for worlds essentially all of arc 2.

It's always interesting to watch these types of videos to see what people think about why they don't enjoy the game anymore...Yet, every reason anyone gives immediately gets contradicted by them with the example that follows (for example, dungeons are bad nowadays and then proceeds to say that darkmoor is their favorite dungeon). Blinded by nostalgia, everyone thinks that the game's current issues are anything new...Nothing in this video is a new issue and in fact, was a bigger issue in the past...the only point I would give you is that Kingsisle refuses to grow up and stop catering towards children (and by children I mean cliche children from the 80s and old folk. Because kids in 2024 have no problem learning anything, it's actually older generation people who struggle to keep up with whatever is happening with wiz these days)... I would go ahead and counter every point in this video but that'd be too much writing and reading...unless anyone's interested, I'll just leave you with the tldr: You have no friends to play wiz with anymore and you're a grown up who has a job and family to take care of. Nothing about the game has changed for better or worse - our time has just went from having 10 hours a day to play wiz to 1 hour a week...and during that 1 hour you log on, nobody is there to say hello. Guilds and Raids would've been the best thing that ever happened if they came out in 2012...but they didn't. The fact that you say "if you don't have 12 friends you can't do raids" is the reason you think the game isn't as fun anymore...it's not the raids that are the issue, it's that you have nobody to play them with. Not having the time to play is also the reason you think any of the spells are hard to understand (although I have no issues understanding them and I don't even play anymore) - you have no time to play and get to understand them. Like, people have legit forgotten that back in the day when max lvl was 50-60, rarely anyone even got to that lvl...I logged on and had like 50 friends online AT THE SAME TIME and most of them were just chilling in the massive fantasy palace at lvl 30, just hanging out for 10 hours straight, typing how they hate washing the dishes...pvp was just as broken, dungeons were just as boring, and the activities we had outside of pvp/pve were just as useless, you had just as bad of a time training pets, you were just as uneducated about spells, gear, and strategy in combat. The list is SO LONG and NOTHING has changed, besides the fact that all you can afford to do today is log on for 5 minutes, see your empty friends list and log back off. This is not something Kingsisle or anyone can fix. We grew up. That's it.

Maybe if they werent so money hungry, and revolved their entire game off of money, their game wouldnt be dead. Level 50 max cap was years ago, and their free to play still ends after triton avenue? lmfao, you dont even get a small taste of what the game offers. it’s no wonder their player base revolves around kids who grew up on it and are now adults, and are constantly struggling to get new players in. This game is only being kept alive by those who still have hope that the devs will maybe listen to them, after years of constant disappointment.

You know what else? Maybe make PVP available. I need to buy packs, and grind gear for a month to even get into PVP. They need to make it way more accessible in the first place too. I shouldn't have to spend more than a few days grinding to get gear for PVP or pay for packs and hope I get lucky.

Wizard101 isn't dying. You don't know what your talking about. If It is dying why are people still playing? Typical your one of those types complaining about something or anything when there is "no one" to do raids. You're just to lazy to either make your own guild or join one that does hard cord raiding. Also they do the spell adjustment for reason so again because the game is no longer fun your here posting a video to complain if it's so "dead" then find something else to play or sit down and be quiet.

I still think they could have a player count boost if the make F2P a little more enjoyable after 5 mins 💀
