@@glennvirgin1045 over here we call it fibre. It's used mainly by bag makers to add extra of thickness/stiffness. It's around 1mm in thickness. @@MIKEMAKESTHINGS you can use fibre/stiffner (images.app.goo.gl/zfGN4tUi4MaMu9FP9), textile suede (images.app.goo.gl/mMsEUWc1PsF2mrgy5) or double the layer of the leather especially if you are using 1mm goat skin leather. For better result it is advisable for it be glued together before cutting out the pattern and sewing
