The father of a friend of mine in college (late 80s) had one of these. It had been the mother's car, but she passed away. It sat unused in the garage for years. My friend was allowed to bring it to campus one day and, my goodness, it looked better than any I had seen on the road. Even the exhaust was shiny. I realize I do have to chuckle at the thought of someone being "allowed" to drive the family's prized Citation. Nonetheless, I never saw a cleaner one ever again.

Kids nowadays, I swear. No common sense. These were one of the few cars out there, that everything could be wrong with it, but it would start, run, and drive all day long. My sister had one, and when it "died", she gave it to her friend that put transmission fluid in it, and proceeded to drive it for for years afterwards.

The machine operator was excellent at what he did. The claw was almost like an extension of his hand.

Most the time when an engine gets pulled like this, it is not worth saving anyways. They only remove it this way because they make money breaking it down further and classifying materials before sending to smelter.
