Please note that the whalers never “gave” the Eden Killer pod the whales tongue. The killers always took it as it is the natural food of Whale hunting orcas. But it was the attitude of the Davidson family to not try to tow a dead whale immediately back to their tryworks and let the orcas feast at leisure uninterrupted that led to the orcas favouring that family over the various competition whaling companies that were present in the bay at varies times and were too eager to tow killed whales back for processing.
Shark did it
AYOOO
Parthenogenesis really isn’t that uncommon. Mourning geckos almost exclusively reproduce this way.
Just because it is in jurasic park does not mean parthenogenesis has anything to do with chaos theory, the movie is simply wrong.
good for charlotte she deserves the spotlight
Every new type ofproducing medecine is gonna be very expensive at first, lets not make it a race/class issue. Many medical operations that seem trivial today used to be super expensive and hard to access when they were first discovered. Idk why people always gotta make things into a class/race issue nowadays
How much for a custom IVC? Mine doesn't work.
Link in bio to the organs? 😅
Awesome, also love your explanation, simple to understand 😊
This is how our food is being made.
Jell-O
I wish
underrated channel
Bowhead whale also found have multiple copy of CDKN2C gene and gene itself always active, this gene responsible to stop or slowing cell cycle transition, it makes their cells have very long dividing time than other mammals
Super interesting video! Thanks for sharing the info, this was really cool to learn about 👀
Trauma theory "You will be sorry! I am coming back with all my friends!"
Boys will be boys!
There are 2 metabolic pathways: carbohydrates and fatty acids Cancer is a metabolic disease. Cancer tumours can only rapidly grow with high doses of glucose. This is called the Warburg effect.
More complicated, cancer is very heterogenetic, common trait of many types cancer could be not shared with other, theres cancer that use RNA as metabolit other than fat, glucose, etc, cancers acquired this trait through mutation cant be handled just by fasting
It would be nice if them, its about time they did something, ( seeing as how they're so smart, supposedly ) other than tsking up all that space in the ocean.
the government would never let a cure for cancer get out. big pharma would lose way too much money.
You might be interested in Michael Levin's researching into inter-cellular communication networks and morphological development, particular as it applies to the development of cancer. According to him, cancer is not necessarily caused by mutations to the DNA, but more generally by anything which disrupts the normal communication stream which forces the cell to behave as part of a particular tissue in a multicellular organism, rather than an independent 'wild type'/protist. This theory of cancer might better explain how cancer rates don't correlate with body size, as while the number of cells which could potentially become cancerous(for any reason) increases, the stabilizing pressure of this communication network seems like it would also increase. Of course, mutations, DNA repair, and the regular lysing of cancerous cells by the immune system are still very relevant in this paradigm.
That’s SUPER fascinating, thanks for sharing! If you have any particular study recommendations, we’d love to know - there’s one (bioelectrical approaches…) in progress in biophys and mol bio from 2021 we’ll be starting with! ☺️
Next thing we know we will have realistic modern wars in vr
Tuvalu is a lying bunch of scam artists
lmao video game country
Water is rising, but they wont be underwater due to rising sea levels in 80 years. It might be due to a sinking continental plate, but NOT due to rising sea levels.
this is a great intro to bio printing, keep up the good work
More plastic in our bodies... geeze.
like countries! with their own culture! LOL
Plz stop. We dont need any other issues
There are hundreds of movies on why this is a bad idea
First
Woe to the world, for the worm hath woken!
Cryptobiosis in a body like mine... nope!
In the same breath you said they've been frozen for 46000 years, AND that this is a new species. I think maybe you're using "new" to mean something I don't think it means.
Nope, it's used correctly. Newly identified species, from 46,000 years ago. By definition all new species are not actually new, we've merely newly discovered them... Not counting cases of sudden evolution or deliberate breeding.
A living thing does not accumulate C14, it maintains its level of C14 during life.
Nice vid
underrated content!
This sounds like a good plan
The question comes down to SHOULD we be doing this, not CAN we do this.
as long as we do it well, why not? this is how we learn new & awesome things
This channel is extremely underrated you deserve more credit for this <3
"It's called fashion, Lily, look it up!"
"a new species of nematode....date back 46000yrs" so not that new then
That was my thought too :D
With the permafrost melting, and micro-organisms tens of thousands of years old being revived with water, the possibility of long extinct plant and animal pathogens become a problem again seems possible. This is not just a big concern for the environment, but also agriculture and possibly diseases effecting humans. Imagine a pandemic that is caused by a microbe frozen from the ice age.
Only thing u gotta worry about is gain of function research
Thats where they want you to think the next one comes from, so they can blame “climate change”
Killer Whales of Eden Australia have officially been declared genetically extinct in recent weeks..as reported in the news 😢
Their full latin/scientific name is orcinus orca, not just orca. I think that they are no more evil than us homosapiens.
Oo
Orcas are highly intelligent, they may know these boats are taking all the fish . So they attack the boats . Just a thought
definitely a possibility!
Good input
I think they believe the Rudders are sunfish
they are wayyyyyyyyyyyy smarter than to misidentify prey lol
awesome video, love your coverage on the topic.
glad you enjoyed it!
The idea that the cells "prefer" a predictable feedback is quite fascinating. I wonder how many cells are actually in one of those chip brains, and how does their structure change to become better at pong?
there are about 10,000,000 cells on the dish! they weren't able to feasibly look at the changes in cell structure in this study, but they identified it as an area for future research :)
Great Video
thank you!
So cool🎉
