This is such nonsense!! People who need an immediate intervention for depression are not in a state to start doing regular exercise and eat healthily, they need support!! And I can't even comment on the jesus thing bc im european and it sent me spinning 💀

Man im a Christian, and even I think those questions are ludicrous to be asked by a healthcare professional. My relationship with god has nothing to do with the fact that I cant function normally.

This is so dismissive of people who have actual mental health issues. If my doctor asked me about fucking jesus after telling them i wish i didn't wake up in the morning, I'd walk out right there. I'm not depressed because I'm not a christian.

I have been trying to finish writing a book for years and felt stuck. I realized after listening to this, I was afraid of failing and rejection. I confessed it to the Lord and finished my book that night. Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you both. I love your ministries and what God is doing through you both.

Therapy is so helpful, you gotta be your own frienf but don't be afraid to talk to loved ones if you're struggling or even when youre happy (it's important to celebrate the victories)

As a chronically depressed person, the last thing I want is to make my loved ones feel the way I feel. I do literally need help solving problems in general because the depression makes that difficult. There is no reason I am depressed, so it doesn't make sense to say "of course" but this might be highlighting the difference between feeling "depressed" because a bad thing happened and literal depression

Ok, About emotions, Jesus reprimanded the sons of thunder for losing control of their emotions. Do you remember he said they had to be used for good for love and humility. So you can’t just use your emotions without control don’t think.?

I am wondering when we as believers are going to do/see the greater works? So many believers are suffering with sickness, disability, financial challenges or just keeping a roof over our heads! As a Christian who has a masters in psychology and works as a public mental health researcher in Zimbabwe and South Africa, I’ve often been isolated or seen as weak for discussing emotional well-being. Emotions still seem to be a concept many people struggle with and even fear, especially within the church. What Jonathan should be proud of is even though it is impossible to live up to Jesus, the fact that people are searching for the face of Jesus that other wise wouldn't be is amazing.

i don't think God is emotional. women are emotional. i mean if men are not emotional, they have to learn it through long interactions with women. i feel like God understands our emotions but He is outside emotions. because the things God takes us through, no way an emotional God would do that. He is beyond emotions...

18:19 when Mary turned back to her own life because she got fearful & was triggered by the Roman soldiers. She didn’t think she was worthy so she went back to the life she knew, I related & so glad they put that in the story because I have done the same thing & have felt really bad about it. So many times I’ve done this. I loved the passion & love Jesus told had for her. It helps me to believe that no matter what you do God will always forgive you no matter what
