Jfc are u going to cut or not
Thank you . Just got one and it’s dragging and not sliding at all Everyone says - don’t clamp it so tight…? I’m not clamping it at all. But when you said reduce the temp if you had processed hair, highlights ect. That makes sense Appreciate the advice
Too much talking!
Thanks for the feedback.
Been watching other vids best explanation
Thanks for watching.
I detest texturizing. I don't like the layered look nevermind the pseudo-layered look texturing does. And the weird rough ferl of the ends. What i really detest is how often stylists will take the liberty to texturize without first asking.
True. Thanks for watching.
1:40 please be more gentle with you models 😅
I have thick & wavy hair. How would you thin it?
Remember to the rule of halves. Don’t thin it too close to your head. And go slow. Check as you go. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching. 😊
Back when I had a barber she used to cut it all the way across as if they’re regular scissors. Can I do that too?
If it works for the look you’re going for, you sure can. Thanks for watching. 😊
Very well made training video. thank you
Four minutes in and no cut yet
7 and a half minutes she finally uses the scissors.
Good feedback. Thanks. I’m always learning how to better my videos. This helps a lot. Thanks for watching.
Wow....lots of unnecessary talking...stick to the topic 🙄
Thank for the feedback. Learning everyday how to better my video editing skills. Thanks for watching.
I love the way she gave the head a good thwack to keep it in place! 😂
Stylist literally just did this. I went from full one length that had a slight curl to the ends to wispy uneven curls with no bulk to the ends. Never going back. I'm only two months into transitioning away from heat and discovering my curly hair. So sad now to feel it's a big set back. The frizz was much more under control since I started two months ago.I don't know what's going to happen now 😢
I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's super frustrating. Hang in there. Maybe try using either a shampoo for curly hair (has more moisture) or a smoothing shampoo for frizzy hair (sometimes may be a bit too heavy - it depends on your hair type). Thanks for watching. Make sure to subscribe. 🙂
BUT WHAT IF THE BULK IS AT THE TOP OF THE HEAD OR THE CROWN?
Good question. Just remember the rule of halves. If you thin the hair too close to the scalp, it will stick up. It depends on the length. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. 😊
Is it normal if the thinning shears i boughtkind of tight to cut? I try to loosen the screwbut didnt work out.
Hmmm. You should be able to adjust with the screw. Try some oil. That might help. Let me know. Thanks for watching 😊
I can't seem to talk hair stylists into actually thinning my hair.
Some stylists haven’t learned how to use the thinning shears. Maybe share my video 😉 Thanks for watching.
Um ma'am you just killed her
Thank you for making this video. I was on chemo for a while. Unfortunately, it took a toll on my natural hair. However, I purchased a wig (not a cheap one) and it was too thick which made it look fake. Taking a wig to have styled (cut) is very expensive. I used your technique and it came out fabulous. It now looks like a normal thickness of hair. I appreciate the help!
That’s awesome! I’m glad it helped you. Thanks for watching. Remember to subscribe. 😊
Can you fix that hard line at all? To least blend it in?
Thanks for watching. Good question. Yes, it is possible to blend a hard line . It depends on a couple of factors: how hard of line, how short the hair (so you have more room to work in the blend) and the density of the hair. Start with either your thinning shears or regular shears, and go at an angle. Very carefully. Checking the line after every cut. I think I w make a video on this.
Thank you kind lady 🌷
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching. 🙂
Very helpful! Thank you !❤
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Thank u so much mam...i understand the concept now...
Awesome! So glad I could help. Thanks for watching! 😊

Yes i agree 💯 to much talk.Good tutorial thoe. Takes time to learn all the steps. Tk u .
My granddaughter has the thickest hair I have ever seen! She has always had a very tender scalp and it is super easily tangled. When she was small I thinned her hair with this kind of scissors and it worked just fine. Right now its long and all one length and is an every day tangled mess its a huge problem. My question is can I use this technique on her without creating a lot of short pieces throughout? My fear is that the short pieces will tangle with the long hairs making a bigger tangled mess! Please advise 🙏🏻 TIA
You are correct in your thinking. The shorter strands could possibly make the tangling worse. You did not mention if her hair is curly, wavy or straight, however I advise using a wide-tooth comb while conditioner is on her hair in the shower. And then when she gets out out, DO NOT wind the hair up in a towel or briskly dry with towel. Just blot it dry with the towel, and then comb through again. She might need to spray a detangling spray on her damp hair beforehand. Thanks for watching and good luck! Let me know if it works.
I literally did everything you said not to do and my hair is still so heavy I feel like cutting it all off it's frudtrating. I'll try cutting more layers and this technique
Yikes! Good luck. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Very valuable tips.
Thanks for listening!
Very informative and well-communicated. A smart woman. Thanks for sharing.
😂 Love the "you can try this on yourself." I'm here for the bangs issue. I can't find a hairdresser who can deal with wavy hair with a billion crowns. Thank you so much for the video!
So happy to help. Thanks for watching. Remember to subscribe. 😎
So my hairdresser used these sheers and my hair looks half as voluminous as they were… I’m stressed how does one recover their original volume ? Thank you for any advice 🙏
Unfortunately you have to wait for your hair to grow back in. I’d politely ask her to not use them. Thanks for watching. 😊
@@allabouthairwithdanise Thank you so much, I love your channel
Hi there, I have a weird question, I work in a restaurant and I really want to get my hair totally clean after every shift. However, the hot water does not last very long in my apartment. Can I get my hair clean with just a short hot rinse after a shampoo then lukewarm rinsing? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Yes of course! You can use cold water, if you want. In fact, it will help close the cuticle, so you will have smoother, shinier hair. The shampoo is the working agent. The water temperature doesn’t change the effect of the shampoo. Thanks for listening! Have an amazing day!😊
This video was really helpful! I’m not a hairdresser, but I do cosplay and am currently building one with a wig. I already don’t have much experience with wigs period, but this wig is THICK and needs thinning and didn’t know how to do that.
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching. And good luck with the wig! 😊
You are an excellent teacher. Thank you!
Thank you! And thanks for watching. 😊
Thanks I can’t believe I found the right video quick every time i look for something I scroll many videos. This one it’s what i was looking for
So glad to have helped. Thanks for watching. 😊
Listening to you is extremely pleasant, you seem to have a warm aura that actually made me learn something, this is a video we all needed but nobody admitted
Hey, thanks! 😊
Hi Danise, thank you for this valuable video. I was wondering though if you could make another video on the same topic with some examples and visuals of before and after. thank you
Sure can! Thanks for watching...in the meantime, check out my friend Emily Chen on IG (emchenhair) or Martin Parsons...incredible work by both!
@@allabouthairwithdanise thank you for the reply. Do you mean Martin Parsons, the famous hairstylist for hair updos?
@@poulinewehbe8372 oops. I replied before I had coffee 😊 Jack Martin is who I meant.
Thanks ❤
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching.
Great video! Thank you 🖤

I was white in front, grey and brown in the back. Was a blond child. So I got highlights in my hair 🎉
Perfect! Hope it looks great!
White hair isn’t our natural hair colour, maybe that’s why most people don’t like it ;)
You could be on to something. 🤔 my MIL grew her gray hair out, and discovered she didn’t like the tone. It made her look washed out. So we just put a semi-transparent beige toner on her and it looks great. Natural highlights 😉
May I ask for a head sheet for this cut please?
Let me get one made and I will share the link here in the video show notes. Thanks for watching! 😊
Grey hair it a blessing in Islam. They will glow light on the sirat bridge over hell fire. As a Muslim women we are ordered to die our gray hair with any colour except black and not to pull them out.
I work in a call center and noting this!
Thanks for watching. Glad you found it helpful! 😊
I have a hole in my hair because of that thing
Yikes 😬 sorry to hear about that. Thanks for watching! 🙏
UPDATE: After a couple of weeks...I LOVE my new haircut! 🥰
I don’t know why I laughed so hard at this moment 😂😂😂😂😂😂 she was so calm and collected 😂😂😂😂 1:40

She doesn’t complain much 😅
