Always make sure you can see the Traffic Light
Due to the Vans ahead of us, we couldn’t see the filter light until we moved off.
It’s vital that you leave enough space between the vehicle ahead to be able to see if the light is on or off.
If it’s on and you are over the stop line, commit across the turn
If it’s off or goes off before you get to the stop line, wait at your point of turn

I actually do very similar I hate it when larger vehicles are in front of me
Maybe drive up to the line and slow down to check rather than crawling a mile behind and not giving anyone behind you a chance to get through the light...
Absolutely shocking!! Get the right lane to begin .... people teaching people like you are the reason our roads are SHITE
My favorite junction 😂
Nice
Good on you for letting the bus driver go ahead of you, the other day my older sister was driving and she was going to merge lanes to give a bus driver more space to merge into her original lane and when she indicated, checked and then started moving, someone on their p's sped up and almost hit her and also beeped at her, if my older sister would've been hit it wouldn't have been her fault as she had checked and the other driver sped up, so thank you for being a responsible driver.
Very well taught
@@lcf34 thank you.
Hello this is Revit up. Can i use your dashcam clips in my compilation video ? linked and fully credited, Thank You !!
@@Reachout-Revitup as long as credited to my channel. Thank you.
@@SiRhodesDriverTraining thank you!
Always be mindful of emergency vehicles!! Give them way.😇😊
It staggers me just how many drivers will not do this. Are they more important than an emergency vehicle responding to an emergency call? I think not!
@@Richard-Bullock self importance is a big issue mate. Also, this was an ideal scenario to when not to stop. At first, the Ambulance may not have gone the same way as us so, if we did stop, we are causing more problems. Whilst going into the new road, the ambulance indicated to turn the same way so deal with it then. Too many people stop dead when they don’t need to. I’ve even had them stop in front of me when an Ambulance is coming the other way on a completely clear road.
@@SiRhodesDriverTraining Self importance in conjunction with a complete and total lack of common sense.
People driving in uk should watch this. 😎
Hopeless. The text was there for far to short a time.
@@helenweatherby1694 it was one of my earlier attempts at a video and you are correct, the text does goes quick. Best idea on these early ones is to pause it to read the text. I now don’t put as much in the text box.
So many questions...
Thank you , I have a better understanding now.😊❤
Cars driving in a staggard formation are in an outside lane and obstruct others from overtaking.
Hello, your videos are amazing. I have incoming C+E 3b driving exam in Atherton center. Do you know if the routes for HGV are same? Thank you.
Thank you HGV’s will be different. Best to ask your instructor.
There’s only 1 thing that confuses me, I always thought you’re not allowed to cross a solid white line to enter a hatched area but in the online book know your traffic signs it says you must not cross a solid white line to enter a hatched area except for the reasons mentioned for double white lines under the overtaking lanes section.
You can cross a solid white line to overtake a stationary vehicle blocking the lane or to overtake a bicycle horse or road maintenance vehicle if they’re travelling at 10mph or less so if they’re doing 11mph then overtaking them on a solid white line is not allowed, unless they’re going very slowly then it’s pretty much impossible to work out if they’re doing 10mph or more or less, best to play it safe and wait until there’s a broken white line.
Or’igh, righ 😂
Looks like the white car just narrowly avoided hitting the ambulance @0:21
Well spotted. Despite editing it, I hadn’t noticed that as, at the time, I was obviously helping my student with instruction.
Great advice.
Thanks mate

Hello there, can I use this clip in my compilation? Any comment what happened? Thanks
Gosh that was crazy. I was wondering if you would mind if i used this particular clip in one of my dashcam videos as i think it raises a great point, fully credited and linked to you of course . If no though no worries and have a great weekend :)
Go for it mate, just credit and link to my channel please.
@@SiRhodesDriverTraining absolutely and thanks again mate :)
I don't care. if this is your thoughts, great. Keep them in your head. It's......nothing
Bro’s just being fuel efficient smh Joking
What were the markings in the other lane? 🤔🤔
Right turn only.
@@SiRhodesDriverTrainingas an instructor you should know that just bc someone is in lane it doesn’t mean you should trust them to follow what the markings say😂😂 white van drivers make their own driving rules up
Truck driver was in the wrong anyway
Is this Texas?
You can’t win in mma your defo ain’t winning boxing
Get your brakes inspected by a professional
Try indicating to let other drivers know your making a right turn on the roundabout
Indicator was on
What even was the point of commenting that as of the view of the camera u would have no idea if the indicator was on or off
@@thethreemusketeers6045 you can tell by the manner of his driving he come round 1 round about straight to the next if he was indicating it would have been from the first round about because it don’t knock of until you straighten the wheel unless you click it off manually and he was continually going right after the first round about in a unsafe manner as well and stopping for no reason on a roundabout is very unsafe. A good driver would have slowed down not stop have a cup of tea then continue round 😂
Why did the driver stop at yellow light??
Amber means stop unless you have passed the line or it’s not safe to stop.
What else would you expect from a BMW driver?
I’m not in a position to comment……..🥴🤣
I don’t get it, is this a cross road or intersection because I feel like the learner was fine to wait until it was clear to make the right turn but also if it is a crossroad then they can wait in the middle waiting to turn right as you instructed him to do?
My student stopped in the wrong place. They needed to go into the centre like I said. That would give them time to clear the junction before the opposing traffic set off. Where they stopped was too far back and, if they had tried going, would have been in the way if the vehicles from the right.
@@SiRhodesDriverTraining before the opposing traffic sets off? They set off at the same time we do so we just have to find the gap and carry on no? Also if they had tried going how would they be in the way of the vehicles from the right? They just clear it when the lights go red again or there’s a safe gap?
@@marco7838 I’m not sure what you are asking. This is the same junction, done correctly though czcams.com/video/Z2fI0auLZhw/video.htmlsi=4g3CUebMeqIv6Ifi
So many people do this these days restricting the amount of cars able to make a rigjt turn at a crossroads
Absolutely. My Student won’t do it again and it’s a good learning point which I why I’ve uploaded it.
@@SiRhodesDriverTrainingso to clarify this was a crossroad right? So your student should have been in the centre waiting for a safe gap to take the right turn.
did you use your emergency brakes? If so id say that was the wrong call, he had already started moving when it was green, emergency stopping meant he was past the stop line. Yeah he did something stupid, but we shouldn't cause more danger just to make a point.
No danger at all look at the Dashcam clock. We stopped at 36 seconds, the traffic was coming at 40 seconds, there’s no way we could have cleared in 4 seconds. These are very fast lights, there is around 2 seconds of red until the other traffic gets a green. We were still on the line. The Dashcam distorts distance, you can still see the stud of the far side of the pedestrian crossing An examiner would have done exactly the same, I’ve had students fail there for this exact reason and the examiner has stopped them provided they are on the line
@@SiRhodesDriverTraining ah ok, if you were behind the line fair enough, but yeah it does appear like it was before which if was the case I'd have said just go.
@@fireburn95rs yes, definitely. I’d have not been popular with the LGV instructors if I’d have been over the line as there was no way any would get round from the left if we was over. Also, the speeds involved. My student hadn’t even let the clutch up fully before I intervened as I was ready for the lights to change so we was probably 2-3 mph when I stopped the car. If the speed had been higher, over options like keeping going may have been appropriate. I only downloaded the front footage, but it was a colleague behind with his student and I could see them discussing what mine had done wrong. I was actually conducting a mock test which is why I was silent. If it was a lesson, depending on the students level, I may have verbally instructed. In this case, this was best and safest option 👍
@@SiRhodesDriverTrainingwait that filter arrow showed he was allowed to turn right now. So how could he have waited in the middle if it’s green only to go straight ahead? I don’t get how he can wait in the middle if there was no filter to turn right. Especially when the next set of lights started for other cars. He would’ve just blocked all those cars.
@@marco7838 which cars ?
This is wigan road going to broadwalk road
Yeah
Dang shame about the learner not being in position to turning right while the light was green. They'll without a doubt learn from this
And cant go anymore because it change to red
Good thing the drivers behind that car were paying attention
What was this idiot doing lol
Rubbish
