Nope i did the geometry by my self but i guess it’s similar to the manthey setup. I only changed the rear tie rods to gain enough toe in. Everything else is bone stock.

You have to shorten the prop shaft if you use the 6sp samsonas due to the longer gear box housing. If you go for the 5sp box there are no mods necessary.

Yes i am a little confused by Samsona's offering. www.cbsracingshop.com/en/6-speed-bmw-m3-e36e46-dogbox-kit-samsonas It says it is designed for the 5sp box. I am currently running 6 spd getrag. From your experience, what changes would i have to make if i purchase the above box. Love your car by the way.

@@lukenetto the gearbox you want to order is slightly shorter than the getrag 6 speed. So you have to lengthen your prop shaft or you buy a 5 speed m3 prop shaft to shorten it to the right length. I assume we are talking about the e36 and not the e46 right?

@@bruder4298 Wenn man dem Titel glauben darf ist es eine (H) Dogbox und sollte damit ohne Kupplung fahrbar sein. Keine Synchronringe mehr, dafür Klauen.

It simply feels safer to me. Miss shifting can happen very easily with the narrow H pattern dogbox, especially under load. Using the clutch may help you to provide your engine from over revving. so you can quickly kick the clutch when you hit 2nd instead of 4th accidentally e.g. If you first have to put your left foot from off the rest to the clutch pedal it could be to late for your engine. Second point is using the clutch makes the shifts feel smoother. Sounds paradox when using a dogbox. But i tried shifting w/o clutch several times and it didn’t feel well, especially from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.

​​@@relsevyeah, but why get a dogbox if you dont use it the way it's intended to be used? That's the whole point of it- faster shifting by not using the clutch. And yeah, you need a lot of practice and experience to shift a dogbox smoothly.
