I have the same issue! It’s a really pain! I’ve started using a satin scrunchie, tied loosely on the top of my head and twist it into a loose bun. As soon as I finish my workout I take it out so middle of my head dries. Btw I wash, blow dry and twist my hair. Sometimes use a claw clip. Also for runs I’ve started to use a satin scarf for the front so I don’t rub on my edges. Don’t know if this would help but it’s trial and error to find what works.
