Most commentaries note the context and proper application concerning false teaching differing from what Paul had taught them from Scripture. The Jews were teaching false doctrines concerning circumcision and other teachings of Moses that Jews frequently argued over that were mostly man-made rules that were of no consequence Biblically. Pastor Broadway appears to avoid the context and make it about people who ask clever questions which the passage doesn't address or imply. The Judaizers apparently were having meetings and inviting people trying to convert them to their peculiar ways.... very different than someone asking clever questions in Sunday School. Pastor Broadway paints with a broad brush concerning the divisive people not serving God but serving their own belly and Satan. If someone doesn't appear to get past a question... maybe they just haven't found the answer, and it just doesn't appear that rises to the level of "divisive" in the passage. We can check the context and see that Paul dealt with false teachers almost everywhere he went... we see it in Corinth and we see it addressed with Titus. Galatians and Romans addresses it as well. The context throughout Scripture is doctrines contrary to Scripture that are used to divide usually in a selfish way of some kind.

I'm going to just be frank. I'm not not sorry but disappointed in the scholars of this blessed Abrahamic faith keeps missing the point. Jesus the mesiah had a mission to fulfill and that was to bring his people to worship and obey the laws of God. He never claimed to be God or have any sovereignty. Look at the different faiths. People leading people towards God or to enter the kingdom of heaven all said that to follow them, was to follow God. You need to be cognizant that to follow a righteous person is to follow God. It does not make that person to have any sovereignty because of that. Now instead of reaching out to God people reach out to Jesus. You may Honour Jesus and pray that he continues to be blessed by God. But you cannot ever liken him to God status. Sovereignty is only reserved fo God the first, the last, the always. And that is why this verse grips everyone including the scholars of theology. The verse is indicating that no matter what good works you may do in the name of Jesus, it does not matter for you have attributed sovereignty towards him and that that a is only for God the creator. And do not be deluded that miracles he performed should give him that God Honour. Miracles are only through th empower of God allowing it to be. So when you say Lord, Lord, he hates it for he never asked any of the people then to ever call him that. They did of their own understanding. Do not lean on your own understanding. That us why scholars should learn poetry, for it open sthe mind to obtaining understanding from verses of different types. God bless!

This is so true,i am in love to a person who is Catholic...he knows what i believe and respect it BUT in a real life everything he does he does tru his wisdom not God's...his prioritirs are money,money and money...I am worried that even if we marrie that this will never change so i keep my distance...and it is hard coz i am serious about him but my number one is Jesus...people dont even realise how dificult this is.. It is a life full of small and big differences that makes many dicisions different within us....and it creates conflicts no matter how great relationship as personalitues you have...but i gave up on dreams...i just pray for him to be saved in this last days...

The purpose of wealth is worship. Worship pertains to something that has significant weight. Where your wealth is defines who/what you worship.

Hey I was wondering about this, Im here because it makes me wonder if I should just be saying "God loves you" or something like that because something inside me is saying to tell someone that. I think it's God or it can just be me wanting to tell them that generally. Only problem is most of them are Athiest, and the thing is I don't mind if they ask me "Do you believe in God" I wouldn't be afraid to admit it. I would tell them "I worship a God, The God" and so on. I wouldn't be afraid if I was judged by the people, because they were the ones who asked that. I might even teach them if they are interested. Though I do fear that if I do say "God loves you" at like random times and sometimes I can say it a little to much in a conversation, which so I've limited myself on that. I feel bad because I feel like I've committed a big sin by limiting myself, and sometimes not even saying it, and so im kinda struggling on that right now. I think it's mainly the fear inside of people like judging me, ashamed, like im forcing them to believe in God (because of the amount of times I've said it), when really im just wishing them and telling them that God loves them. Though I don't want to seem or even force anybody to follow Christ, for that is free will, I do want to spread the message though. Are there like appropriate times to say it, do I just say it, because sometimes inside of me it just says "Just say it" and I do, but then it would ask me again to say it repetitively and yeah... I don't know, I talked to God and know that he listened, and prayed hopefully, but then the thought of this and researching it of denying him scares me. I don't want to deny God but I struggle with when to even say "God loves you" or "God bless you" or many other Christian wishes, reminders, encouragement etc. So it's like what I say I don't deny God, but I feel like these words that tell me to encourage someone, or wish them well is what I hold back on, and sometimes even refuse. Wishing them once "Hey Just know God loves you" They might make a face. It hurts but at least they know. I say it a couple more times and it just gets.... I don't know. In short, im not afraid to spread the gospel, im more afraid of when to say it, where I say it, and the amount of times I say it so it don't sound like im forcing someone. Though because of that I feel like im sinning as if Im denying God, so I have to either hold back or do it... it's a struggle...
