Ritchie se učí štěkat na povel (Ritchie is training to bark)

What’s the background song?
It is a long time ago, I dont even remeber, sorry. It was a song that was in the CZcams video production choice.
Thanks for your reply. Hope you have a nice day
I only learned relatively recently that the shrew is not a rodent at all, but rather it is in the same group of small insectivores as hedgehogs and moles. Your shrew still reminds me of my gerbils, though. So adorable!
Ano krásné ale dala bych ti jen jednu malou radu , když mu dáš pamlsek tak ho to nech dokousat ono by mu to pak zaskočilo ! PS: jinak super
To je nádherný pejsek 🤩🤩 a moc šikovný
Krásné........
Jak si ho chytil
Kočka ho chytla. :-) Kočky rejsky nežerou, jsou mírně jedovatí, a možná jim ani nechutnají.
Pak zkusit bez hluku. Když nereaguje, uděláte ten "proštěkací" hluk a když pes štěkne, dostane pochvalu a pamlsek. Opakovat, dokud pes nepochopí, co od něj chceme. :-)

That Shrew is overweight. You never see a fat Shrew in the wild.
You are right, it is not easy to make a shrew diet, they need to eat all the time. Even though she had a running wheel and was aleays running when awake, she was a bit chubby. :)
since humans come from apes, and the first little apes came from basically shrews, these little creatures are so interesting.
Put some grass or hay in there, and make sure to feed it LIVE insects. Crickets and waterbugs work and are easy to find around your house.
Sorry, too late. It has been few years since she left us. Plus this little cutie never lived in nature. Had to be born in our house and was feeding in our trash where I caught it almost a baby. At a beginning of the winter. So no crickets around the house. Of course I fed it live insects. I had a worm farm especially for her. And she got all the confused bugs who had stumbled into our home. 😀
Hello ItsMeFree1, I would have some questions for you, because we have currently also recorded a shrew (about 3-4 weeks old): In the beginning we fed her with cats raising milk. Then she ate her first animal food (Zophobas, mealworms). Whole mealworms or even dried insects, she does not eat yet. We always have to squeeze them out first. Now we are in the process of offering her some other food. What else do you recommend? Maybe also some fruit or vegetables/seeds would be good. In general we would thank you if you could give us some tips so that she is doing very well with us. In addition, we have a huge enclosure for her and she has many retreat possibilities (houses, socks, bark, cotton, etc.) and also several floors. I would be very grateful if you could help us! :)
Hello Nathalie Müller, Thank you for your beautiful letter. I am so sorry that I didn’t find it sooner. However, with all the things you wrote you have done for your shrew, I am sure it was taken care of great. Our shrew Scarlett never ate the mealworms whole, she only ate the Inside and left the skin. :-) Our first shrew Togari did eat them whole, so you will see with yours. I didn’t give them any fruits, seeds or vegetables. Instead I fed the mealworms with it, so they could have all of it processed through them. I gave the shrews some ferret multivitamin paste, just in case and they ate it a bit sometimes. I also gave them some Philadelfia cheese as a treat, but generally, any living insects I found were better, and made the shrew entertained while hunting. :-) As far as I coul find an information, they are insect eaters and very territorial, so they don’t need any shrew friends, but they got used to us quickly in a few days and were actually very cuddly, when older. What shrew needs imperatively when in captivity, is the running wheel. They are big runners and their need to run is usually immense. If you want a happy shrew, let it run. ;-) I hope your shrew is now happy and healthy and cuddly as ours were. And in case you have some time, I look forward to know how is it going. :-)
rip lil guy.
I just rescued a shrew and it does not want to leave me since I saved it from a dog but they only live like 3 years and some can be venomous
Mine lives off the cats food.
I currently have 2 Shrews as Roomates I decided to let them stay when I read that they eat spiders.. I feed them bread crumbs and other stuff if they get hungry they come out and squeek at me.. I also have a dog but they must have some kind of Non-Aggression agreement with each other because they don't bother each other which is out of character for my dog but hey whatever...
I used to have a cat who would hunt the local wildlife, which led to me learning that shrews and moles are extremely unappealing to predators because glands on their skin produce a foul-tasting liquid. Your dog can possibly smell that these animals are not good eating, although some predators don't discover the disappointing truth until the shrew is already dead. It's really sweet that you've made friends with them!
that sniffing nose is so cute and precious
Super video pomohlo mi
Jste s Ritchiem šikulkové 👍👍👍😀
I have one in the house at the moment. He hasnt shown any desire to approach me yet
Oh, they won't approach by themselves. :-) We caught her as a baby in our trash. Then in captivity, they need the running wheel to run many times a day or they get crazy. But they get used to humans very fast. Scarlet, when older, was very cuddly. I had to have a worm farm too, so she had always something to eat. Every week I had to buy a new batch of worms. She ate cca 20 of them per day, if I remeber correctly.
I soo absolutely love shrews ❤️ How long she lived?
How do you keep it from biting and stinking? Shrews have a terrible smell.
It was a girl, they stink less I guess. And it was very small kind of shrew too. Of course, when the smell became too much, I changed the bedding. Since I had her from baby age, she was easily tamable. In two days? I gave her Gervais cheese (similar to Philadelphia) on the finger and that was it. Personally, I cannot exclude that they might be tamable even at an older age, because they seem to me quite fearless.
You've done it...you tamed a shrew.
I just rescued 3 baby shrews and they don’t even have their eyes open, how do i give them proper care?
Hi,Hannah, I am so sorry to find your question so late. I wouldn’t know myself what to do with so small ones. They needed their mother’s milk probably. Did you find a way so they survived?
This dog is more clever, than most people I know hehe I liked😋
I have heard so many stories of shrew viciousness but here's Scarlet who seems wonderful and sweet. Thank you for showing the other side of a little-understood animal.
I love all animals, which is why I'm a veggie. Godspeed, Scarlet!
Same here :)
I think animals people eat should be given the best life possible and be allowed to live out their best days before being GENTLY put down and then eaten. Animals don't deserve all the shit scummy humans put them through one fucking bit and it pisses me off so bad, I get violent when people mistreat animals and I am in a position to do something about it.
Raj Leonard Im a vegetable too!
@@shanegriffin6637 you are a vegetable
Thank you for your nice comments! Scarlet was really nice cute little pet. We found her as a baby in our trash where she came to feed. One of a family of shrews that were living under our kitchen counter, so our cat was not able to dig them out. We caught her brother later too, but they did not get along anymore and he unfortunately escaped from his temporary shelter soon after. Scarlet died this November, after more than a year of living with us. I fed her 5 times per day by cca 10 worms (bought from Pet Shops). And yes, I had to learn how to feed the worms too. :-) Their favorite were carrots and bread crumbs. Scarlet enjoyed every other insect we found and gave it to her, and she killed them with fervor. I gave her some cat vitamin pasta to feed on during the periods she would be hungry and I was not able to feed her (i. e. during the night). She enjoyed to savor Gervais too. A shrew cannot be in capture without the spinner wheel, it has its natural immense need to run. Scarlet had to run many kilometers per day. They can be easily tamed. Very territorial, but humans do not count. :-) Scarlet was even making happy little noises when cuddling. Last months of her life she was even more cuddly. She did not smell as much as our last shrew so I presume it was a she and the smellier ones are boys, since that is the case with ferrets and most other animals. :-)
She is adorable! How often must you feed her?
Every minute
@@akertheinternetwanderer467 wtf why are u here this vid was years ago lomoa
I read somewhere they have a very fast metabolic rate and have to eat every 3 hours or else they'll die but I think this one is safe. ha ha
what an adorable, gentle little creature !
how did u get it??Cute!!!
It is a bit long video, I assume... The interesting part is at 2.30, when the shrew came to get a wormy snack. Her Name was Togari and she left her tiny house after a week when she got big enough. With a help of the same cat, who could not stand to just look at her and smashed the house down. Maybe she is happier free, if alive...
Nejoblíbenějším jídlem se stali červíci z Petshopu. lososová pasta se evidentně zkazí. / Now the favorite food are the small worms bought at petshop. Salmon paste is going to decay.
