I generally don't like Pokemon with negative, appearently evil backgrounds, and i like legendaries as positive entities; however these four are good idea, plus they can possiy calm; they were created with destruction intentions, and their origins show how there is nothing easy behind people badness; plus they are so well designed, i like especially Wo-Chien, also Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu has elegance, while Chien-Pao is OK but seems me the least elaborated.

I always thought GMax Centiskorch was based off the Omukade which was a giant centipede yokai that terrorised the mountains of Japan. And it’s main weakness being water and rock makes sense as the Omukade’s only weakness was human saliva.

I still attest that Ghetsis is the most evil as while his plan doesn't involve destroying the world he is the only pokemon villain to be truly vile to the core, Lysandre was shown shedding a tear when discussing the death toll his plan would have showing he takes no joy in what he's doing even if he feels its what's right, Cyrus was stated to have grown up only knowing sadness and misery from never being able to live up to the expectations he was given making it less surprising he turned out how he did, and even Volo thought he was doing what was best even if he was completely diluted, Ghetsis on the other hand has no such sympathetic qualities, he has no tragic backstory to explain his villainy, no moments of humanity to show there's still part of him that regret what he's doing, no illusions that what he's doing is right or just, he is in every way shape and form pure evil, I'd argue he doesn't even have a bear consideration for life since he's one of the only villains to try and outright kill the player where they stand by having Kyurem use glaciate on them and in USUM by threating Lillie's life of the player doesn't back off, plus ghetsis doesn't even treat his pokemon well unlike cyrus whop has Crobat, a pokemon who evolves through friendship while Ghetsis's Hydreigon has max power frustration which gets stronger the less the pokemon likes its trainer TLDR Ghetsis is, in my eyes, the only villain to be truly rotten to the core, with nothing to make him seem less evil or even slightly sympathetic

I have a theory for the Arceus one I’ve never seen expressed that’s 100% head cannon but still interesting to me. When there’s finished but cut content never planned to release, they virtually always remove it from the code. Typically signs are left and pieces are forgotten, but never the entire event completely debugged and accessible. By Gen 4 action replays were an insanely hot topic, what if making the only way to get Arceus by cheating they were alluding to Arceus godhood. Once you’ve gotten Arceus, every cheat code in the Action Replay could be twisted as “cannon” seeing as you are now quite literally working with god.

Since they're bringing it back in PLZA, I hope there's a better explanation for it, considering the only "negative" reviews/stories we get from it aren't even Gen 6, but from Gen 7. It could just be an Alolan trainer's bias to make Z moves seem more favorable to Pokémon and their trainers. We don't see z moves after Gen 7 so imo it adds to this theory for me. Maybe an alolan marketer selling z stones was hurting for sales and needed a good "reason"? My opinion would be if the Pokémon was truly in pain in its Mega form, most trainers wouldn't use it at all. Literally the main themes of the Pokémon franchise are friendship and love and the strength that come from them. Pokémon would logically refuse to hold the mega stone if it hurt them. I mean, for real, every Pokémon canonically has its own Pokéball, and there are many trainers whose Pokémon refuse to just go in it, so they walk around together instead. Why would a Pokémon hang onto an item that hurt them if there's Pokémon out there who don't want to just go home? That doesn't make sense. Evil trainers and enemy organizations, on the other hand, either wouldn't care that their Pokémon were hurt or their Pokémon would be desensitized to it by overexposure. It would be akin to dog fighters making normally docile dogs aggressive and mean to everyone. Pokémon also tend to copy their trainer's personality so it would kind of be like brainwashing them anyway.

Is kinda weird how the Mega fenomenom is born through the bond a pokemon and it'a trainer share. The stronger the bond, the stronger the compatibility and strength between the human and the pokemon. But then it's later backdrawn when the dex entries show up. Like Houndoom and Scizor melting from the inside due to the intense heat, Gengar cursing it's own trainer, Garchomp having his claws painfully extend and be heavy as well and Gardevoir's dress expanding as well (and for those that didn't knew, Gardevoir's dress is a part of her skin. Imagine a part of your skin expanding and the pain it causes due to the blood veins and bones breaking cuz your body changed it's anatomy). So Mega Evolution needs friendship to be activated but it causes excruciating pain as well? This makes zero sense as in the anime, they don't feel these backdraws and can fight like they did in the previous forms. Without melting, cursing or in pain. Once again, this proves that the pokedex is LYING to us.

I think the bond trainer-pokemon counter acts the "painful" side effects of mega evolution, maybe that's why the bond is needed. Ash's greninga bond form is equivalent to mega evolution and it does take a toll on Ash so maybe the pain is distributed and becomes more bearable for the pokemon

I think, having a great bond with the trainer is required to mega so that pokemon wont lost control of itself and have some sort of control despite of the rapid changes in its physiology.

so it was kinda explored why a bond is needed despite the bad side effects in X and Y. from what I understand the bond is needed for battle and not for wild mega evolution, as the pokemon would become uncontrollable and extremely violent like lucario did. this is further supported by megas in the wild like raquaza and mewtwo, both of which transform at will. I am gonna put them into their own catagory because no other pokemon has been shown mega evolving at WILL and BACK besides legendaries. my theory is wild pokemon dont have the power or the means to mega evolve on their own or go back to their normal state after mega evolving. the sad part of this theory is that most pokemon who mega evolve die faster not being able to revert back or naturally sustain the downsides of the evo.

fun fact about glalie, the ice armor is technically its bones. according to the pokedex, the mega evolution just straight up breaks its jaw and that's why it can't close it.

Mega Forms. I think it shouldn't be stones. but more like a rare extra evolution that some pokemon can go to. and because of those forms. they well count as legendary because of there more powerful stats they get and like I said it's rare to see them this way. like a few animals in real life would grow bigger and stronger. like every once in awhile and most people wont believe it. cats would grow 2X or more bigger and they would be mistaken as cub lions and a few other big cats. because some parts of there body actually do change a bit. I had a kitten that grow big. even though he was bigger than the other cats around him. he was still a good cat. but when he was going out on his own he was gone for awhile than 2 or so months later he looked like a cub moving in the shadows through the night. he's a full grown cat at this point and it was the last time I saw him. he's long gone now because taxes don't agree with cats plus the fact we have to move away. but don't feel to bad. because we are a type of people that lets some animals like cats to run outside in the wild. plus cats would know a way back to the house ether way if they're lazy to hunt. hell they were wild cats as in not house cats anyway. so they basically can handle on there own and find another place to kick it whenever they feel like it. anyway I think the reason why my cat got so big was because he's always stuck into something, in a fight with another animal or a cat that's not from around the area, had a few broken bones at random and eats more just to recover faster. so I guessing from all of that his body was evolving in a faster rate. so I guessing that some animals are ether slipping back to there older gens or they actually are evolving in front of are eyes. there also cases of them cross breeding like with lions and tigers for example.

I think they added this pain stuff to be lazy and make new games every year . In the anime they were only able to mega evolve by being close to their trainers and nothing said anything about pain until they released a garbage gimmick. Doesn’t add up
