Hi, so I am interested in the latest Verifone C18 POS and the Verifone Commander Site Controller for my gas station. As of now I am looking at purchasing the hardware on ebay. Does this setup require a purchase for a software installation? Or can I just purchase the hardware itself and it's just plug and play? Would really appreciate your help as I've been trying to contact Verifone but have yet to receive any response from them.
@@DC670-o5c Verifone requirements are growing. Software is usually updated a few times a year, the same install file is used for the C18 as what the CMDR uses. After installed, if it is not registered the software will lock up after 90 days. To register software, you have to get an ASA license. Since our store is branded P66, we pay them for the ASA license and P66 provides the license to us, then we can register. You can use "unbranded" software called bypass, and features on the CMDR are slightly different for each brand.
