My high tone Fire siren from the Cadyville VFD. I had it at CV-TEC for some touch-ups, and we eneded up doing a lesson on sound the week I got it there. We hooked her up and I measured the sound pressure (128.2 dB).

Sears siren

I bought this little siren at the Carlisle, PA car show last October. I was told it ran off 12VDC, but it ended up running right on AC power. I paid $30, and I do not feel cheated at all.
Fedelcode low tone

The local VFD does a short blast at 5 PM on any given day. They also do three cycles of attack on Monday nights at 7 PM during pager testing. All of the fire sirens in Clinton county follow the same Monday night schedual.

    Sounds great! I have a low miles ENDT-673 in my 68 Kaiser M54A1C. Haven't started it in about 10 years but I'm making plans to get it running and on the road. Maybe I should video the progress.

    @L1TtL3M4cK - You said "There are two diffrent versions of the 22 siren. There is the 2 which is for 2 phase siren." You are wrong. I am trying to explain that to you. The First Two numbers (2 and 3) have nothing to do with the phase, they have to do with the number of different tones that The siren Can produce. Both the 3T22 and 2T22 came in Single and Three Phase models.

    • @Fat2T22
      @Fat2T22 Před 7 lety

      No, The 2T22 has only 2 signals (Alert and Attack) and the 3T22 has 3 signals ( Alert, Attack, and Hi-Lo)

  • @TboltHurricane
    @TboltHurricane Před 12 lety

    @L1TtL3M4cK - Is 2 phase even a thing? They only came in the single and three phase.

  • @TboltHurricane
    @TboltHurricane Před 12 lety

    @L1TtL3M4cK - No, it's 2T22 and 3T22 because the 2T22 only does 2 tones (Attack and Alert) and the 3T22 does a 3rd tone (High/Low)

  • @robertgift
    @robertgift Před 13 lety

    @hi91023 Cater would have the best omni-directional design if their siren had bearings that would allow it to stand upright like this. Would be nice if the 2t22 could aim sound from the rotor intake tube in some direction. It would then be a 2t24.

  • @BEATNGU1223
    @BEATNGU1223 Před 13 lety

    @bostonguy1282 Try using a smaller pulley on your motor, I couldn't get it to run with a large pulley on it because it was too much of a load. When I put the smaller pulley on it made the pull start much easier and would run.

    @garyhstorms10 the horns project the sound and boost the decibel rating, by 5-10 decibels more than the siren would be producing without the horns
